I was wowed by the amount of the selected choices that I had to choose from when it came to the candy apples and different levels of chocolate flavor with immaculate decor. I entered in the place and upstairs I went. As I was ordering I asked one of the workers, which was a female, if she can explain to me what was in a particular chocolate bar. She said it is a popular, darker chocolate. I said ok! I what else is in it. She said : marshmallows. I ask was there nuts, she said: “No.” I said let’s choose that one. I didn’t have my eyewear. That’s is why I asked for her self explanation. She never mentioned that there were walnuts in there. I proceeded to bite into the Rocky Mountain or Rocky Road dark chocolate, and as I was chewing, I began to feel the tissues of my mouth forBumps immediately. I looked inside, there were walnuts. Well, I can’t have walnuts. I proceeded to the counter and spoke to a tall white gentleman. Not sure if he was the manager. After I Explained to him the happenings, he began to explain to me his policy and procedures. “Cross contamination could happen. I said: OK, but I’m just letting you know because I didn’t have my eyewear. I asked one of the workers to tell me what it was in there and she never explained that they were these kind of nuts inside. He said well I’m just letting you know. If anybody that has an issue you shouldn’t be hit with a policy and procedure. It was a bit too late. You should automatically show some sympathy and say I’m so sorry, this happened to you what can I do and if I can do something what would you like me to do?

Staff was friendly & helpful! She did a great job of cutting wrapping my apple for eating later! Got an English toffee apple & it was super good! Wish I had more!

I stoped in to grab a truffle as I was walking around town. I ended up getting a Twinkie dipped in chocolate, on a stick and a single truffle. The chocolate on both (more so the truffle) was thick, hard, and I had to toss them in the trash. The flavor of the truffle was less than memorable.I have heard that the apples they sell are great, but I won’t be back to try.

I grew up in Durango, Colorado. Where the first Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store was first opened in 1981. I been eating RMCF every since. When I am near the store in Galveston. I stop in for a taste of home.

Great ice cream on a hot day and quite the variety of chocolate sweet treats.

After spending over $10 on ice cream, I asked the counter person for a small cup of tap water. She offered to SELL me a bottle of water. Said that was the store policy. About a block away is another well known ice cream store called La King’s- they have a dispenser of cold water and small cups on the counter so customers can help themselves. I live locally and spend a fair amount of time on the Strand. This place has lost my business- and for the cost of a minuscule cup of water.- I will never go back to Rocky Mountain Chocolate.

We love coming here for the Carmel apples and the chocolate covered desserts. They are all so good and we try different things every time we come. We love the ice cream as well.

Great stop. Lots of treats! Friendly folks to assist. We had chocolate covered cherries, truffles and a white chocolate marshmallow..there are even a few chairs to enjoy your chocolate before the sun gets to it! We Left in a sugar coma.
