Wonderful hotel. So many hotels are doing away with full service it's nice to have such a beautiful historic hotel with valet, doormen & bellhops. I was initially disappointed because I reserved a room with street view & was given a room with a view of a brick wall and alley. But it was so beautiful inside and QUIET. Bed was comfortable. The bar was exceptional. Had the best martini with bleu cheese olives. Best drink my entire stay. Can't wait until the rooftop bar is finally open again

Such a disappointment, they put is in the part of the hotel under construction, room service was slow and they left plates and food outside until next day. I left a dress behind and the front office was really rude about it and said nothing was left and they didn’t need to check with cleaning. It was upsetting because we came with our kids for a long weekend and we had really high expectations. Left me feeling sad.

This was a family trip for a few days to Galveston over spring break. Location was chosen due to easy walking distance to shops and restaurants making it super convenient. We booked a Tremont Jr. Suite with 2 queens. It was located at the front of the hotel overlooking the street. Room was very spacious and the tall ceilings even added more to the feeling of roominess. We also had a couch/sitting area. The room had a mini-fridge. Bathroom had a tub/shower combo. Water pressure wasn't that great, but nothing that detracted from the room itself. There was a nice closet for hanging up clothes and storing suitcases. Rooms come with a refillable water bottle for using at the refilling stations. One thing that could be added to the rooms is a suitcase holder. We utilized the Toujouse Bar each day. The drink menu was nice and the drinks well crafted. We also had a few snacks while there, which our daughter enjoyed. The bar staff also made shirley temples for our daughter and she enjoyed the attention. The hotel is beautifully renovated with character of the past yet plenty of modern style. Very clean. Manager was very visible the entire time and filling in to serve guests as needed along with the servers.Rooms: Spacious and beautifully renovated. It was a busy week in Galveston and lots of folks staying at the hotel; however, it was always quiet inside our room and we never had trouble finding a table or place to chill.Walkability: Located one block from the Strand with tons of shopping and eating.Food & drinks: Great drink menu at Toujouse. The rooftop bar was still under renovations so we did not get a chance to try that out. The on-site restaurant, Blum, was good as well. We had breakfast each day and also enjoyed snacks in the afternoon while at the bar.

The front desk worker Ryan made booking my 3 rooms for myself and family super easy and even though on my end it was super complicated for my wedding we worked together with a game plan and made it work! Highly highly recommend the Tremont for their great to work with staff and location!

DONT TAKE THE UPGRADE! Due to out titanium status we were “upgraded” to a penthouse sweet! Welllll it was across the street from the main hotel, with all the amenities, bar, gym, restaurant etc. This place was old with paper thin walls. There was construction going on and at 5am it was so loud in our room we couldn’t sleep at all. I do recommend the main Tremont hotel but avoid falling for the “upgrade” at all costs!

Excellent hotel in the heart of Galveston. Wonderful bar and staff who can make a proper cocktail. Good breakfast restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint was my room was near the elevator, which made quite a bit of noise and woke me many times.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Our room had a small fridge, but no microwave. A large bathroom and shower, but low water pressure. Very comfortable king-sized bed.Food & drinks: Nice in-house restaurant with good food and service.

Incredible staff!! Shay or Say in the bar was amazing....as was the entire staff. We had 4 people stop to ask if we had been taken care of. Then our baggage and shuttle driver Lora was prompt, friendly, incredibly helpful and over and beyond. We discovered on our drive to the cruise terminal that we graduated from the same high school! Hotels are hotels, but the staff makes the difference. And the Tremont House, as beautiful as it is, was even more beautiful because of the staff!
