Very bad service from employees, think twice about eating
They are very rude to women and children.
I bought a normal dish and another with extra chicken and they came the same, it's not worth paying plz it's a theft
The cajun restaurant is much better

Very poor quality of food. I'd choose Panda instead if I could go back in time, and that's saying a lot. Don't waste your money and time here.
That have great food service and if you buy 4 dishes one is free. I’ve got mine free so it was awesome. Totally going back when I’m in town

First of all these my people!!! We always anxiously await to eat here, my entire family is a huge fan of this place, I will gladly always make the drive just to get a little taste of this place. As the previous, ignorant comments like to point out, yes the cooks are Mexican , BROWN & PROUD and these fellow Mexicans of mine have perfected JAPENESE food!! ♥️ They got these combos of deliciousness ready to go or to dine in, everything is fresh and seasoned to perfection. Not to mention I got a free plate yesterday to take home with a purchase of 5 plates! Best place ever, best Japanese food in DFW! These other places could never. These other reviews are just way too picky, cook your own stuff at home then. A must try at the grapevine mills mall.

I didn't give him tissue until I asked for it, and I have to tell him three times to give him tissue. I was able to get a tissue.
I ordered white rice, but they gave me fried rice and took up another $1. The fried rice was very greasy, and I had stomachache after eating. .

Mexican workers here acted like fools by whistling and yelling for customers to come. The food was fine, but make sure someone is 100% Mexican before you speak Spanish to them.

I like that I can come here during a mall trip and get vegetables & bourbon chicken for around $10. It's a solid, healthy meal without too much oil and with a good spritz of bourbon sauce. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food but on the grill they use the same utensils for beef, shrimp and chicken. And if you are allergic to shellfish, you will be poisoned there.
Maki of Japan is located in the Grapevine Malls food court, serving good hibachi style meals in a fast, cheap, and convenient manner to the public. After a long day of shopping till we dropped, we had the urge to fulfill our growling bellies with food and ended up at Maki of Japan for hibachi. The line was fairly long but went fast due to the amounts of chefs on the grill whipping up the orders. We went ahead and ordered the beef teriyaki with mixed veggies over a bed of steamed jasmine rice. Within minutes of placing our order, the chef was on it working his magic. The food was packed and loaded in a Styrofoam container and presented to us after we paid our bill. The food in the container definitely was enough for more than one person and looked great! The beef was sliced thin and tender and paired well with the rice but was also very sweet. There is also a hot sauce condiment bottle to squirt into a small container to go, and I found myself using the hot sauce way too much to overpower the sweetness from the sauce.Overall, for under $10, this was a good meal to feed us and kept us going. The staff and service were nice and provided great service throughout our visit. I highly recommend this if you're in a rush and trying not to break the bank, then this is definitely for you.

Visiting from NY, ordered food and received the worst service ever. The guy at the counter with the glasses don't listen to customers. When I informed him he didn't hear what I was saying, he became nasty and threw the food to his co-worker. Had to cancel my order. Who ever owns this place need to train their staff and provider better customer service. Better yet, he should be fired!

The name is a misnomer. The food, which was average at best, is Chinese, not Japanese. My egg roll was not warm, although portions were generous. Some staff were less than gracious.
