The Red Room Bar lacked any unique or memorable features. It had a generic layout and offered nothing to distinguish itself from other establishments. It failed to provide a distinctive or exciting nightlife experience.

I felt unwelcomed when I walked in and it was my first time going, I was greeted by the manager I think her name was Charlan and she was my bar tender for the night. Like I said it's my first time going to this bar in Hondo TX and I got me a shot for 7$ so the next drink I was asking for the prices so I won't pay as much. She pointed to this neon blackboard on the wall and replied with attitude "that's where I can find the prices" but I couldn't see or read anything on the board especially with everyone in the way. So I asked nicely if she knows the prices on the cheapest mixed drink, she then started arguing with me and accusing me of being incoherent or drunk, I was explaining that I haven't been here before so I wouldn't know the prices. I think the manager was drunk she was using foul language and yelling across the bar. I understand the yelling over loud music but this lady manager was still trying to argue with me after I ordered a 4$ mixed drink. I kept ignoring her rude comments when I was talking to my company about the situation going on how it's getting out of hand and he tries to explain to the manager that I'm new and I didn't want any problems, I was just asking for the prices. The management was terrible, the manager made them stop selling me anything after my first drink. I was fine with that, but when I was greeted by some old friends to talk to and catch up at the bar, the whole staff management was keeping an eye on me. I felt unwanted, unwelcomed, unappreciated for my service and disturb by the manager. Go to the one down the street, more down 18st.

Great place great staff and some killer jams by the Remidies. We have been twice and both times had a great time. The owner is a really nice guy and his staff is right on clean place great atmosphere. We will be back again.

I probably won't go back. The owner told my group but not me that I'm "cut off". The thing was I wasn't drunk and acting the fool. It ok for me cause I still had a bucket but the rest if the night the owner was giving me the evil eyes didn't make me feel welcomed so oh well.

This place rocks! It's become a new favorite of mine. If you're ever in or near Hondo, check this place out! The staff here are awesome and super friendly. They do whatever they can to keep you happy. Charleah, the owner is awesome and greets everyone with a huge smile on her face! She makes sure that everybody is taken care of while they are in her establishment.
