My 2nd time making it out to Burns. 1st time stopped by and took food home. This time I stopped by and ate at the picnic tables under a shaded area. Flys were out strong so ate with one hand to leave a free hand to fan the flys away from my food. I ordered a 3 meat plate so my wife and I could try the smoked house sausage, brisket and ribs. Filled in the rest of my plate with beans and potatoe salad. Ordered a can Sprite my wife ordered a bottled water. Burns provided plastic utensils, and styrofoam containers for our food. Napkins were on the table. My food selection was delicious. My wife's sides were good but her chicken was under cooked, anyone that has placed some chicken on a smoker or grills knows that chicken can have a red tint to it and so my wife asked me first did the chicken look done. Also believed it does not. Was a bit more red than I would want on my chicken. Part of the issue is where you order and receive your food it is not well lit so even when I took the container of chicken back in and the burns crew opened up the container I even thought I made a mistake until the new container of replaced chicken out of the smoker was in the same condition. Now I will say the Burns crew asked my opinion of the second chicken and I looked at it and said it's fine. So we packed up our things and took the chicken home to stick in an air fryer for minute. I would have given 5 starts if not for the chicken and the front cashier who was taken orders was not the nicest about having to replace the chicken. There was a bit of mumbling and words that I was unable to determine if they were directed towards me.Parking: There is additional parking in the rear of the building.

Stopped in 4/5/2024 just after 11:30am. I arrived with my mother since we were in the area. It was our first time visiting. I really wanted to like this place because of all the great things I had heard. It was disappointing. The hospitality was great, service a little slow and the atmosphere was laid back. My mother ordered the 3 meat plate: white meat chicken which they forgot to put in the plate (the best thing they had to offer), ribs which were small/subpar and brisket that tasted like something my uncle made in the oven...tough, chewy and very disappointing. I had the sliced brisket sandwich combo which also had chewy brisket and lots of fat (only ate half and sent the rest home with my mother to feed the cats) with a side of dirty rice. I told the cashier on the way out that the chicken was on point and the brisket was chewy and tough. She said she would tell the kitchen. Maybe it was an off day, but for a Friday lunchtime rush, you have to come correct or don't come at all. If I'm in the area in the future I might stop by to give them a second chance, but there's way too many options in Houston doing BBQ better.

Everyone who works there almost looks mad and won't speak. They better be glad I know the business doesn't belong to them because they wouldn't get another dollar from me. The heavy set girl at the burger stand is the worst. She was sitting there watching me and didn't open the window until I leaned in and saw her looking at me. I said you didn't see me standing here. She said no, I was on my phone. Gurl Bye!

This is definitely been one of my favorite places to go get barbecue for the last two years.I have to admit, depending on what time you get there sometime you kinda get the short end of the stick on certain foods, but that just means they’re selling out because the food is good.Depending on who you get at the register, some of them are just either “inexperienced” or have that “I don’t care attitude” besides that the food is good,so I overlook that behavior. Since they do such a wonderful job cooking.Definitely can’t go wrong with the 2 or 3 meat plate, homemade links are my favorite 2nd brisket & 3rd chicken…Today I decided to order a sandwich with homemade links and a side of green beans…Parking: Very little parking for how popular this location is…

This was the worst Barbecue I’ve ever tasted. I was told they had very good barbecue. The meat was tough and the potato was not tinder.Instead of baked beans I got pinto beans with barbecue sauce in it.Waste of my time and money ?
