IMO Dish Society is overrated and overpriced. Their food has no flavor. They don't have alot of options. I've tried eating at the Finn Hall location several times- hoping the next dish would be better than the last, but I'm always disappointed and my wallet is lighter. I wish places like this would step it up because there's plenty of competition.

After posting my original review, which I still stand by, I received a very polite and gracious request to return and give them another try. Unfortunately, we were unable to take them up on that offer. I cannot change my option of the food and service for that day but I can say that management does care and it is possible that we were just one of the unlucky ones who had a bad experience. I added a star for the effort to please from their management. Everyone has an off day. full review
The Finn Hall outpost of a local chain restaurant, this location of Dish Society is a solid, but unremarkable spot for new American fare in Downtown Houston. Its most redeeming feature is that it opens at 7am for breakfast on weekdays--convenient for those who live or work downtown, but not most others. The brisket and eggs is full of good flavors (I especially enjoy their biscuit and Gouda grits) but is inconsistent, the brisket sometimes arriving tender and delicious, full review
