Museum with a steak restaurant. Pick your own cut of meat. Cooked to perfection. Service was excellent.

Very disappointed this time. We are regular customers for this restaurant. We went there one week ago to celebrate my birthday. Overall the food is OK but there is basically no service at all. The server just ordered the food and put plates on the table. He didn’t do anything else and even forgot my birthday celebration. Ironically there is a mandatory 20% of service fee changers for our table of 6 adults and one baby. The food is total about 240 but adding up the 50 mandatory fee and food tax of 20, the whole bill is over 300 dollars. I just feel the tip rule is really frustrating customers and forcing them to look for alternatives. I usually give generous tips to their servers but that really depends on their service. I was feeling like robbed for that money. Bad experience that day overall.

What can't i say about TofT? It's my favorite steakhouse, the steaks come out perfect, the salad bar is an experience in itself, the bread is great and the service is exceptional!! I've been here 10+ times and I'll continue to come back. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.... you may see me there.
Taste Of Texas was the best restaurant I’ve ever been to while in Houston! Everything about my experience was top tier and I will be sure to eat here every time I’m in the city.

Used to be my favorite place to eat. Months into Israel's genocide of Palestinians, T of T put a large Israeli flag at their front door. Also learned later that the owners are far right. Will no longer be going to T of T. Outback has cheaper steaks at good prices and are not supporting genocide.

Loved all the food at this steakhouse! The quail bites are an appetizer that you must order. My wife had the pecan crusted chicken with grilled shrimp and I had the tomahawk ribeye with jumbo lump crab cake and they were just delicious!! For dessert, we had the creme brulee, pecan pie a la mode, and snickers pie. Safe to say we had a lot of leftovers. A lot of history surrounds the interior this establishment which most of it is authentic. We can not wait to come back for the Christmas holidays when they decorate it.
Disappointed. Neat kitschy but classy Wild West interior, great salad bar and bread, but parking lot is undersized and the most important thing of all, the steak, was rough, $62 for a gristly 16oz New York strip that I couldn't taste because of how much salt they dumped on it. To the restaurant's credit, they offered to give me a new steak, but it was after sitting around for an hour and I specifically asked the waitress not to forward my comment about the steak being crappy, so it made things worse. If I wanted to spend my time on trial and error, I would have stayed home and bought my steaks at the supermarket.

Mostly style, little function. The place looks the part, and is a fun place to experience, but the food is just okay. The prime rib was cooked beautifully but lacking in flavor, and the sides and salad bar were disappointing. (steamed broccoli with a side of gloppy hollondaise?). It’s worth checking it out, but you can have better steak somewhere else.

One of the best salad bars I've experienced and the chilled plate makes it unforgettable along with the parmesan rolls. Everything my taste buds touched here was extraordinary, but the steak kabob and then the Brussels sprout with bacon will be the go to every time now. Never have gone to the same restaurant back to back nights in my entire life until this place. Can't go to Houston without stopping here or you will regret it.
