Verna Mae's Poboys, Seafood and More

Wanted to checkout this place for their po-boys after hearing about it on FB. Ended up not ordering a po-boy though so will have to check that out next time. What a difference a year makes. The first time I went here I loved the beignets but the rest of the food was just okay. On my recent visit the food really stepped up. The flavor was spot on and the beignets were still over the top great. We had an array of dishes and were very impressed with the food overall. Super nice staff and very attentive. The decorations and small store in the back are great touches to add to that New Orleans vibe.

Great food: including the authentic roast beef poboy, muffaletta, boudin balls, beignet bites, great crawfish, and awesome homemade sauces (remoulade, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce) with the great seafood; super nice people, laid back atmosphere, live entertainment sometimes, good daiquiris
