Great comfort food spot. Good old fashioned American style food, in a laid-back country style setting. I lived in Missouri for a long time and it made me feel like I was back there again. Food was great, the hostess and server were both very friendly too. Prices are fair for what you get. If you want super cheap go fast food, if you want good food go here.

Always a delicious place for breakfast. We usually go early on the weekends bc around 10am the wait starts to get long. We’ve been before 10am three times and haven’t waited at all. The staff is upbeat and nice. The pecan pancakes are absolutely fantastic *chef’s kiss*.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely kid friendly.Parking: Plenty of spots available.

I ordered a chicken fried steak, the steak itself was so thin that it was not to my liking. Generally a chicken fried steak thicker. I think they were cutting corners on their steak.

Absolute BEST down home country cooking! Atmosphere included. Gives you a BIG country feel in the city. Refreshing! Their Breakfast selection is the Best!! Homemade biscuits with a side of gravy. One word... Yummy! They stop serving Breakfast at 11am, so get there early! ?

The food at this location was absolutely amazing. I travel often and this place was the perfect stop along the way. I had blueberry pancakes, and sausage, and eggs. Parking is a little difficult but it's easy to find a place once you drive around the block.

Years ago, this was a fun place to eat. However, since the singing owner's passing it has deteriorated. I'd say take a pass...The walls next to your table are covered in food - very unhygienic (which scares me for what the kitchen must look like)! The silverware was dirty. The hostess/cashier is not really friendly or helpful. Female servers are same, the male server does a nice job.Chicken fried steak is still generally tasty, but again, I'd hate to see the kitchen because if the front is this dirty, the kitchen must be truly bad...

This was our second visit. We had tried it once and weren't as impressed as the reviews led us to believe. We decided to try it again as most reviews were really good. The people are wonderful! Friendly, helpful and so sweet to the very young children we had with us. The food is OK. We had 2 children's meals, a senior meal and a regular dinner. The catfish and shrimp (regular and senior) were good. The fries are nothing special. The mac and cheese and grilled cheese (with broccoli and carrots) were well liked by the kids. They made sure the veggies were cooked well enough for a one year old but not mushy. The cornbread was good. Loved the cinnamon butter on the roll. Overall, the food was fine but only fine.Kid-friendliness: They were very accomodfor young children. The server anticipated our needs, served items out of reach of the 1-year old, and knew what we needed when we asked for watered down lemonaides (different levels for different ages).

The service was quick. the staff was friendly and attended us very quickly. I ordered the country breakfast and everything was good, except for the pancakes. The pancakes were a little dry and didn’t have good flavor overall. Also the hash brown was a McDonalds style has brown, which was good (crispy). The bacon was nice and crispy as well and their biscuits and gravy were on point. I recommend this place and would bring friends and family here if in town again.

It was amazing, just I remembered when I was younger. Now, I was able to enjoy a wonderful meal with my wife. Now, this is a Texas size chicken fried steak. Our waitress did an amazing ? job. It is good to see young people working and not buried in their cell phone.

They were good at one time. Every time we give them another shot, they always disappoint. We will not be going back. The Monte Cristo was so full of grease when I would take a bite it would run out the bottom. The chicken fried steak sucks! We're in Texas you better know how to cook a chicken fried steak or don't sell it. At night when the grown ups (manager) go home they leave the children in charge and that's a mistake. I wanted so bad to have a good place to get a good home cooked meal. This is not the place anymore!

French toast had no flavor, even with powdered sugar, butter and syrup. It tasted undercooked. The drink my cousin had tasted chalky and returned because of something floating (replacement/different drink was served in the exact same cup-taste of lemonade). The server barely checked on us, and had to be hunted down. Eggs cold. 1st and last time going. Coffee was good though

This place was amazing ?! Building from 1914! Food was homemade like my Grandma would make it with love. We got a history of the building and the area. Server Edward was the best. :) Eager to go back with more family.

I just moved to Humble and we went to the Cafe for the first time. Atmosphere is awesome as the place looked super cool. We wanted breakfast. Breakfast offering was great, and the food didn't disappoint. Service let us down. Our waitress had a bad attitude and directed me to certain side dishes to shortcut her interactions with us.Food was great. We left underwhelmed by the service from our waitress.

Ok, this is one of the best places I have eaten at. The hostess/server Allison was phenomenal. Their chicken fried steak was delicious, and I do not know who made the greens, but OH MY GOD!! They were the best greens I have ever had. Great place highly recommend.
