Service was great; I was tended to without my dining experience being interfered with. The atmosphere is nice; folk country like, with various farm or American pioneering company memorabilia on display, some authentic, some reproduction, but all interesting fare for the eyes. I had a Rueben sandwhich with fried okra as a side (I know… an odd matchup). I was presented with a skillet corn bread appetizer while I waited on my order. It was delicious, being offered with whipped butter and a whipped cinnamon like butter (not a fan, but that’s a personal preference, not a dig at the restaurant). The Rueben was not too bad. I just prefer an authentic corned beef, not a deli slice. The kraut was store bought as expected. The okra was fair. It’s obvious it’s being breaded way in advance, as the breading was incredibly chewy. Flavor was good, texture was not. A simple fix.

The food was out of this world good. The cornbread melted in your mouth. The portions were huge. We had a party of 7 so it is a tad bit difficult to keep everyone refilled, but to have to try and flag down a server-any server was impossible. We got one cup of coffee, then to try and get a second-not happening. We had to wait for her to bring the check to ask for a second. I would totally get it if the restaurant was busy, but it was empty. There were 3 servers.
Parking: The main lot is behind the restaurant and it doesn't have many spaces. There is a lot across the street but I'm not certain if it is for the restaurant.

Nice little place to enjoy some authentic home country cooking. Start it off with iron skillet of cornbread. After that first bite, I was hooked. The cinnamon flavored butter made it that much better. Got to be careful not to have more than ¼ of the serving. Had the half chicken fried steak with two sides. I'm glad I only ordered the half chicken fried steak because I could barely finish it with the two sides. Saying it was tasty would be an understatement. This is gourmet all the way in my standard ? I will most definitely be back here as soon as possible. This is a local-owned business, so I want to encourage everybody out there to please support your local-owned businesses, ESPECIALLY restaurants. I'm told that this place has been here for quite awhile, and I know why.

If you're looking for a place to eat that has good options and great service you are not gonna be disappointed. Waitress was honest with our table of 6, she said the kitchen is slow and would recommend a appetizer. We did and really enjoyed the honesty and we got explore more items before our breakfast came out. There was a full house and it's full for a reason, food is just good, pretty close to home cooking. Will definitely come back frequently.

Cool tiny town w de ent sized cafe, diner...was thrown by their hashbrowns being those frozen mcdonalds looking type but omlette was fluffy and tasty. Cornbeead for the opener...their version of a basket of bread....good but savory type not sweet but served w a cinnamon butter! Coffee was good but hard to get fr our server. Would try it again. Seems like a place big in antiques signs and the have a shop upstairs we did not see.
