I'm sure it's fine if you eat there, but don't order to go. My coworker and I ordered Chicken fried chicken with cream gravy. They asked me twice over the phone about the gravy, then proceeded to give me 2 orders with no gravy at all. Very sad plates! When I called the lady said I could either leave work again to come correct their mistake, or have a free drink next time???!!! Sorry, there won't be a next time.

Take a slow walk down Main Street in the small town of Humble, just outside of Houston on Highway 59 and you’ll find an old school diner called Humble city Café. If the small town feeling and ability to park on the street right in front of the café doesn’t set your mind at ease, then take a step inside. It’s a throwback of nostalgia, souvenirs and Americana and that’s just the lobby. oddly enough, when you sit down to eat, the table is provided a complimentary pan of cornbread with creamy honey butter as a appetizer while you wait. The menu is broad and deep, mostly old country favorites are served. you will find chicken and dumplings, greens, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and other assortments of old favorites. In addition to salads. All told, it can be a pleasant dining experience.

Comfort food in a very welcoming atmosphere. Good portions and great service. Food was a little bland, needed salt and pepper to kick it up a notch. Overall pleasant dining experience.Food: 3/5

Very nice place. Different from the ordinary restaurants. Theme is old time country store. Service was very good everyone was nice and friendly. Food presentation was great and all was delicious except for the chicken fried chicken seems like the meat was fake. It was flat and rubber like. Batter on it was great though. Pecan Pancake are a must try. Biscuit was just ordinary. Over all it was great and I would definitely come again.

So this was an average restaurant, however the decor brings it up to a four-star, creating a really cool “diner-esque” look. The ceiling were very high and the dining areas were large and very spaced out. The food was good quality, decently priced but nothing « out of this world ». To have a glimpse into some vintage mid-20th century American decor and other paraphernalia, I guess it would be worth it. The wait staff was kind and prompt and the kitchen prepared our meals in a timely manner. I guess I would give it 3.5 stars.

If you’re tired of the same old franchise breakfast spots, eat here. The food was very delicious and the service was good. We had a party of 9 and everyone enjoyed their meals and experience. The theming of the restaurant was pretty neat for the most part. We all agreed we would eat here again for sure.

Great little treasure in Humble. Consistent, quality food and service for over the decade we've been doing breakfasts there. Unlisted fabulous option: Banana-Pecan Pancakes. Solid menu options.

This was our first time eating here, the atmosphere is fun and it was very busy. We were seated right away. Country potatoes were yummy. Hubby said T bone steak was delicious! Their biscuits and gravy were some of the best we've ever had. Nice local restaurant.
