Best fried and grilled catfish in the South. Only use 100% fresh American farm raised catfish. Cooked to perfection in 100% peanut oil deep fryers. Or you can get grilled blackened cajun style or lemon butter pepper fish. Fried shrimp and oysters. They have raw oysters on the halfshell. Great burgers. And an awesome and friendly staff that treat you like part of the family. This has been a family operated business since 1985, at this same location.
After eating Pappy's fried catfish for the 1st time I've been unable to eat fish anywhere else. They only use fresh American farm raised catfish. And its deep fried in 100% peanut oil. The environment is really laid back. I took my girlfriend there for our 4th anniversary. They have a full bar and the inside feels really old fashioned. The owners happened to be in that night and were really welcoming. Really kind people. I plan on being a customer there for years to come.

I'm so sad that this place closed down. I loved their food, especially the whole catfish meal. Nothing like it in Dallas. It was my family's go to place since the 90s. great memories when my parents brought home food from this place. I'll miss you pappy's catfish.
