We were super excited to come here for a date night but we were instantly disappointed when we took our first sips. I had the Tsukemen that made with "pork broth" but the fish powder they used made it just taste like fish and the mushrooms were over salted. It was a slow night for them but my noodles were really over cooked and stuck together. They seasoned egg just tasted like soy sauce instead of that sweet and savory taste, so it made my dish way salty, fishy and overcooked. My husband and I made a joke about how we could get papercuts from the Shashu pork because it was so thin. (See pictures)Service wasn't great either, the waitresses brought our beer and food but never came to ask if everything was OK which is the norm. I asked for a different broth after finally flagging down a waitress and they never asked if we needed another drink when our glasses were empty, again it was a slow night, way over priced for they serve you. Nothing like the other ramen places we've gone to, this place is a sad joke...

Calming environment. Quick service and seriously delicious food. The spicy Nagasaki seafood ramen is my favorite.

I think this place is fine for ramen. But it is not Hakata Ramen. It tastes like they use MSG and Soy Milk to make their "Tonkotsu" ramen. It would be cheap if they just used a Hammer on pork bones and pig feet to make the broth. If they wanted to cheat a bit I would say use pig skin and chicken feet. But what they have seems lazy.Their "miso" just is too sweet, it tastes like Doenjang (korean soy fermented with bacteria not a fungus). Its obvious. Its a total lie that it is miso. They could say it is awase but it tastes like doenjang/ or yellow miso from China. They are overpriced and toppings make it expensive. Akin to going to a froyo place and overpaying for getting toppings. They make profit from the ramen craze but. It tastes okay I wasn't upset with it. But it isn't accurate. And the cheapest stuff is way overpriced. They need a real chef. They have 3 branches - and honestly - i bet the owner knows his stuff but the chef seems like they never had real ramen or just told to cut corners. - its really a 2 - if they lowered their prices would be a 3.3-5$ ramen is better than this in Japan. If you're reading this you should hire me as your chef for a few days. BEAUTIFUL store though - I can't blame them too much for the prices. Ramen is meant to be like fast food and quick but people tend to hang around a long time and the lack of turn around drives up those prices. I have more to say about noodles but it's all about the stock. I have been here 3 times same every time. And it is someone else saying to go.

We've been to a lot of Ramen joints in the mid cities area. Overall, Ramen Hakata in Lewisville is the one we keep coming back to. Always fast and friendly, the ajitama (soft boiled eggs) are consistently jammy and well-marinated, the various broths are always rich and creamy (I'm partial to the tonkotsu, but I've had others that are excellent as well), the chashu is well-cooked, and the whole package hits just right. There might be other places that do individual components better, but for us, Hakata offers the overall best variety, quality, and price. My wife got the kimchi ramen this time and it instantly became her new favorite. I went with the tantanmen which was outstanding-- the ground pork in place of the chashu was a nice change of pace and the spicy broth was delicious. My ordinary go-to is the N2 (spicy ramen hakata), and I really love how they don't skimp on the spicy. They've also got a wide variety of appetizers and other ramen alternatives. I highly recommend this place!

So we used to love it... food is still great but they are definitely short staffed or not attentive, didn't like having explicit rap as background music with our kiddos there AND there was a sneaky forced gratuity that we didn't notice and so they got double tip. It looked like it was part of the bill until we looked closer afterwards. Not happy and not going back.

This ramen is just not good; the noodles are soggy and bland, broth is flavorless and leaves a weird film on your mouth. I would rather have instant ramen, with some boiled eggs and meat than this.

Absolutely lovely restaurant to dine in at or get takeout from. I moved from Lewisville, TX across the US so always make sure to stop by here when I'm in town!My husband and I have yet to try something we didn't love!!Tayokai 5/5, tuna tataki 5/5, fried shishito peppers 5/5, garlic ramen (both reg and spicy) 5/5, yakisoba 5/5, chicken karaage 5/5. We even got a side of tofu for my niece when I went with my brother/fam and she loved it.Not gonna lie. I drink the remaining sauce from the tuna tataki because it's so ridiculously delicious.Vegetarian options: Very nicely and clearly labeled vegetarian dishes.Dietary restrictions: Very clearly labeled on menu.

Ramen was great and hot. Service was great and very patient. Definitely recommend the Yuzu Sparkling Soda as a drink. We had the kimchi ramen and Ebidon. They have something for everyone. My kid loves ramen so I wasn’t surprised that she loved the broth. Add to your list for ramen spots.

Satisfaction when it comes to taste, authenticity, culinary art, and fullness of the belly. Restaurants these days lose because lack of quality and consistency in what they offer. But here you always get what is promised. Hope it stays that way for Hataka and its chain. Until next time!
