This is definitely a... do not judge a book by its cover situation. We live about an hour away from the Longview area but we were in town for doctor visits and we wanted some sushi. Looked up online best places for sushi and this place popped up on Google. We got there and the outside definitely does not look as nice as the inside. We almost went somewhere else because we thought it wouldn't be good, but wow I am so glad we didnt!! The service and food was amazing!!! Everything was so delicious and fresh! We will most definitely be coming back when we visit Longview area again!

I ordered some sushi and it was absolutely divine. Despite there appearing to be little food on the plate, the actual contents of the food were very filling and didn't leave me hungry. The flavors all came together in a beautiful cacophony of pleasure. My friends ordered some fried rice and bulgogi. These two dishes were HUGE and let them with some very appreciated leftovers. Will be going again.

My family has been coming here since before they moved to Longview. The food is great. The best sushi my wife and I have ever had. We recommend the Kumori roll. It’s not the largest restaurant, but we have never had to wait very long on being seated. The service can get a little slow when they are busy, although it’s normally quick. We love coming here and believe it’s the best Asian food around.
This is definitely a hidden gem. The sushi was excellent and the shrimp fried rice was delicious. We had the Jalapeño bombs for an appetizer they are 10/10.Kid-friendliness: There were several kids there and the wait staff accommodated them beautifully
A coworker recommended this place and boy I’m glad they did. The food was amazing all of it. We ordered ours to go from Aaron. We told him it was our first visit and he educated us on the menu, their specials and he gave us a some of their sauces that didn’t come with our order to try. Wifey got the Beef Bento Box and I got the Spicy Chicken Bento Box. I also got their Beef Ramen Soup. You can tell they take care when preparing the dishes. We will return.
Food was most excellent. Top notch. But service extremely rare and slow. And its not like its a large dining room. It was over 15 minutes before someone came to ask for drink order. wine selection was limited. Btw this was a first date night for me. My date likes sushi thus kumori's. I ordered a pinot noir and was later told they were out but merlot was available. The merlot was good. Our waitress and the seating staff was friendly as much as they needed to be, which was fine but just hoping for that extra. We both ordered the rainbow roll which was great. The dumpling appetizer was complimentary but so good i orderd a second round. If they had a higher energy and an interior update this place would be 5 star everyday. Nonetheless, as is, its still one of the better sushi bars in Longview if not THE best. Did I mention the dumpling appetizers? If you are not sure where to eat and not in a hurry, trust aunt Roxi and go to Kumori. Hope this helps.
