AMAZING !!! The cupcakes I had the snickerdoodle and the red velvet was so delicious. The icing is so light but rich at the same time and the cake part was so moist . One of the best I've had in years . The flavors are immaculate.

I ordered two birthday cakes for Nov 10th, one cake was a two layer cake, chocolate and amaretto. The amaretto flavor was vanilla, so I called on Saturday the 11th to inform them of the wrong flavor, I also told them they had done this last year as well. The girl stated they probably didn't put enough amaretto flavor in the cake, and stated they would definitely do something about it, but the owner was out, and would get back to me on Tuesday. Well I never got a call..all week. So I called on Friday, stated I never received a return call from the owner, the girl said, is this about the amaretto? I said yes, she then said, well the owner stepped out, and I will have her call you back as soon as she gets in... no call. So I call back Saturday at about 2:45, told the girl I never received call from the owner, she then says " I'm the owner, we've been busy, as if to disregard my concern, she blamed the chocolate over powering the amaretto, so I explained it happened last year with just one flavor.. she again had an excuse stating she uses amaretto liquor, so it's not very strong. Then went on to say her Vanilla cake doesn't taste like vanilla, it tastes like pound cake.. so with all that being said, she did nothing for their lack of ability to make an amaretto cake taste like amaretto. I remained calm and simply said, ok, I'll be sure to never order from you guys again.. and she replied with ok, thank you. That shows her lack of professionalism, and care for her customers.

I hate to leave a bad review because I know that it takes effort and time to make a cake, but I'm very disappointed. For the price I paid, which was $85, I've gotten bigger and better cakes at Walmart. The cake looks like something I could've done at home. The letters are shaky and very uneven. Like I said, something I could've done. I ordered a cake that could feed 30 and its not even big enough to feed 12. I'm not the kind of person who is able to say that to someone's face which really sucks! I should've said something when I picked it up but here we are. I also should've read the reviews and I knew that but I saw the cute pictures on Google and went with it. Again I know it takes time and energy to make these but I think from now on I'll stick with walmart.

I called a few days ago asking if it was too late to order a cake for yesterday, thank God it wasn't. I let the person know I needed a glittery pink cake.Told them what time I would be there. Unfortunately I was 30 minutes late on picking up my cake when I said I'd be there. When I got there my cake wasn't even made!Apparently my order was lost in this wall of orders so she told me come back in 30 minutes.She got the pink part okay, the lace trim Shells whatever around the cake looked hurried. And the glittery was just plopped on the top of it.I was hoping for something with more bangNot disappointed I spent what I spent cuz it wasn't too much more than going to Walmart or united, except for the tip part. But it really wasn't much different from my personal experience.I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and edit my review when I order my next cake in a few months but not feeling too positive about it.

After seeing all the bad reviews I had to give a tut to the Cakery Lubbock for the wonderful cake they made for my son. I called about a week in advance thinking they may not have enough time to make an allergen-free cake for my son. I was so happy when they said it would be no problem. Gave my details and made the pickup for a day ahead in case any issues happen. Mind you this is the only bakery I could find that would make an egg/nut-free cake for my son's birthday party. I went to Market Place, HEB, and Walmart, no one had a clue how to make an egg-free cake. I looked online and found the Cakery in Lubbock. She did tell me she would need two weeks out for a specialty cake when I tried to order for another occasion. I needed the cake the next day. However, my wife decided to throw a birthday party for my son and we had to make invitations, so I was in luck and they did it within a week. Cannot be more happy with the cake. When I showed up the cake was not ready, she explained that the cake is too wet, we had major rain overnight and humidity was very high. So I understood. I came back about an hour later, she asked for thirty minutes and I was early anyway, so I got some last-minute shopping done. Now the important part, the cake was so moist. Even after keeping it overnight in the refrigerator. OMG, the best vegan cake I have ever eaten. Everyone at the party finished their slices which is unusual for a birthday cake in my experience. Usually way too sweet. The cake was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. Even after it sat out for hours we brought what little was left over. It was still moist the next day. My new favorite cake place. I don't care if you like the competition. I will pay for quality and not sugar. Just have to give it to them for an awesome cake that my son loved. Thank you the Cakery Lubbock.

I ordered a diary free, egg free cake due to my daughters allergies for her third birthday party. The cake was beautiful and the fondant Peppa Pig was spot on! But the real impressive part of this cake was the fact that it tasted delicious even though it was made with dairy free and egg free cake AND frosting. My daughter couldn’t stop eating this cake. I’ll be ordering her allergen friendly treats from The Cakery from now on! ?

I'm sad that I visited at 10:15am but there was no cake to buy even though they open at 7:00am. I guess this is more an order ahead type of bakery. Shame because I really enjoyed the cupcakes I bought last week but there are other places I can go at 10am and get baked goods.
