One of the best sushi restaurants! Food is very good. The seafood is very fresh. Service is fast. Price is very reasonable

I have been ordering delivery and take out from this place for 3 years, and still love it. Always will recommend. It's been 8 months since i placed my review. Still my favorite place to eat, i eat here at least once a month, and I'm always happy with it.

Food and service were amazing. The house Sake was delicious as well.Review update: Had to change my old review of 5 stars as stated above to a 3 star review. They no longer have alcohol of any kind. The food wasnt great and pretty bland. The atmosphere was different even though the seating never changed. The service was still great. But its now under new management and the name is changing.

I live their tempura shrimp and vegetables! The lunch menu bento boxes are yummy too. I only wish they'd use white near chicken instead if dark in the teriyaki.

Probably the best sushi I've had in a while. Matter of fact, if you say "sushi", AKARI comes to mind for me. THE LOCATIONNortheast corner of Parker & CusterTHE PLACEIntimate and clean. It's small but has a neighborhood feel to it. THE STAFFFriendlyTHE FOODFresh and quality. Flavorful. You get a nice amount too. The sushi rolls are nice sizes. The fried rice is great as well. THE PRICESAbout to be expected for a sushi restaurant OVERALLIt's a great place for sushi. Definitely check it out.

Excellent food and service. We've tried a lot of Japanese restaurants and now we have a favorite just around the corner! Everything looked and tasted extremely fresh. The kids wanted to keep going to the conveyor belt restaurants, but they're nowhere near as fresh and tasty. They haven't stopped saying how nice it was at Akari. Go now!

The service was great! Our waitress was friendly. I really wanted to give them a 5 star review, but the food wasn't that memorable. The miso soup came out lukewarm. The calamari was overcooked and too crispy for our liking. The breading was more like an onion rings breading. The fried crab hand roll and Superman burrito were good, but not great. I like that they have a happy hour menu! Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I wasn't impressed. There's a lot of sushi restaurants that I would prefer over this location. Maybe we didn't try the right things?

The service was pretty okay. We didn’t get our waters til like 15 minutes later. I felt like we were seated and then not looked after. The sushi was fine, and they had fair prices. Will consider giving this place a try again.
We stopped here for a quick bite. I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The Takoyaki was amazing, probably number two in what I've had in the past. The yellowtail heaven was exactly like some thing that my husband and I used to get when we were in Los Angeles and I've been looking for it again for over 20 years. The tuna sashimi was so fresh and so light and the jasmine tea was to die for. I only wish that they weren't a 40 minute drive because I would be here weekly if I could.

My favorite local sushi spot! Everyone has always been so nice and helpful. We enjoy sitting near the chef prep area and watch them make the sushi. Their spicy edamame is amazing, the best I've had from any restaurant! The spicy california and spicy edamame are things I crave often, they are the best. They have happy hour until 6pm as well I believe.

This place surprised me! I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and although it didn't taste anything like Tonkatsu it was still very much full of flavor! The only thing I didn't like was the pickled ginger that they put in there. That just does not belong in ramen.

Danny is the best. Period. He’s an artist when it comes to sushi. He makes his own sauces and even makes his own salad dressing. Everything is delicious. You MUST dine in for the full experience. I recommend Yellow Tail Heaven to start and the Cherry Blossom is so good!!! Supper LOCAL and support QUALITY small businesses, Plano! I may be a little bit biased in this regard. :-)

Oh my gosh. I love some sushi, and try it all over the Plano area (and really all over the US). This is by far the tastiest sushi rollI've had in a LONG time! Absolutely delish!
