This is our first time here! Delicious! Loved the frozen Margaritas, the queso, and tacos, very good! Definitely a repeat place on our list. Service very good! Yum!
We always have great food, service, drinks, etc at Casa Mama! Their patio is awesome, and we just love everyone here!
Worse service ever. Would not recommend this place to anybody. Waiter is racist.
Awesome, great food, great people.
This is my favorite place for Mexican food. The food is great, outside seating and locally owned.
I came here on a Saturday night for dinner. I order a Chicken Sopes, the Shrimp Diablo, and a house margarita. Both we’re amazing and appropriately priced. Will be back soon!
The food was great, and the queso was amazing! I had the chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce, beef enchilada with queso, and a tamale with chili sauce. Everything was delicious and we will absolutely be going back.
Love the food here! Their quesadillas are outstanding and I love their Sunday afternoon margarita specials! We come here often and are always pleased!
Been eating here since they opened. Very good service, drinks and food Always. No matter if busy or slow they are always on top of their game. Recommend 100 %.
I love casa mama but there is only one problem; when I was eating there beans it was crunchy a bit. Usually their beans are soft but not today! Rather than that everything is best, I call this the best Mexican restaurant ever! Also (P.S there flan is the best!). Sincerely, Brynnley
I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with a dear last Saturday. The food was delicious and the service was exemplary. Looking forward to dining at Casa Mama again soon.
This is my 3rd trek to Casa Mama, and the 2nd to this particular location. Out of the gate, I will say the house salsa is a step above many of the Mexican places scattered across my little corner of DFW. It's not the greatest, it's not the worst, and it's not mediocre. It's a good house salsa. The tortilla chips are thicker than I care for, the queso is tasty and creamy. Be sure and try their salsa flight, the Poblana sauce of which is the cream of the crop. I went with the Sanchez Parillada, which is an assortment of beef, chicken, shrimp, and smoked sausage in form of a fajita plate. The shrimp was delectable, but the beef and chicken were -as they say- "fair to midland." One portion of the sausage had a nice char on it, but the other portion had almost none, so that was mildly disappointing. I enjoy a good char for texture on sausage. The rice and beans accompanying the SP were culinarily uneventful, and I found the guacamole to be insipid. On my next trip, I hope to try the beef enchiladas, because they look to be quite delectable, and I want to be able to move up my review to at least 4 stars. The house salsa saves the day here, and keeps the review from being negative. It was almost like entering a sauna when passing through the threshold, but the manager (I presume) was kind to turn off the heat. The service was consistent, and I look forward to coming back for another try.
The chips and salsa are a good place to start. The chips were thick, not those kind in some restaurants that are so thin the break the second you dip then in the salsa. The salsa itself was spicy, and the waiter was attentive enough to keep filling up the salsa bowls. I had tacos. The shells were like the chips, thick and crunchy. It also came with some taco sauce that was heated. Pretty much every adult but me had margaritas at 11 am, so they must have been very good. I'll have to try them the next time I come in.
Great fajitas. We went on National Margarita Day and the house ritas were good. We ordered a kids cheese quesadilla though... Two tortillas with cheese between them, grilled, with no side... $5.99. That part of the trip is pretty lame. The place was cozy, but not comfy.
Never disappointed with a meal at Casa Mama. Service can be a little slow at times, but the waitstaff will keep your chips, salsa, and beverages refreshed, and this food is worth a few minutes wait. We have tried nearly everything on the menu and all seems equally good. I am picky about rice and beans, and they are really authentic and delicious here. My kids like the burger, too. I enjoyed brunch options such as migas. Overall good option for Mexican food, which is my favorite type of food!
Best Mexican food around, great margaritas, lovely staff and service! Great location
We've lived in the Los Rios area and took us 5 years to go there, a friend swore it was good. Our fears were correct. We ate there and once was enough to confirm it and would never recommend it to anyone, the food was salty, not flavorful or authentic, they serve packaged tortillas, the soup tasted as if it came from a can. Ask any of their employees to see if they eat anything off the menu. The answer to that question is always a dead giveaway.
Really poor service today. My friend and I (both women) went for brunch. 10 am and one other couple in the place. I felt like we were bothering the waiter. He was surly and couldn't be bothered to refill my tea. It took forever to get our check and our cards back. It's a shame because the food is really good.
First time here. Friday evening so very crowded. Great prices. Friendly service and prompt. Menu was typical but also had some nice additions that were out out of the box. The salsa was good. We had the pork tamales. Very good. And rib eye tacos. The rib eye was not cut up so was a bbt odd to have to cut. Was tasty though. All around great place. I look forward to returning
We came for a late lunch and the food was fabulous and so was the service. We had cheese enchiladas with chili, chicken enchiladas with chipotle sauce, and brisket enchiladas with mole sauce. All of the sauces definitely tasted like homemade. For us the chili and mole were the best. We also had queso which was delicious. Even the chips and salsa were extremely good. We will definitely be back!!
Great food and very close to work! The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I visit Casa Mama between 2 and 6 times a month. I highly recommend the Mexican Lasagna, Julissa’s Pasta, and Camarones Diablo! It is hard to decide which dish to order, but you won’t go wrong with whatever you decide.
Tried them even after reading a couple of mixed reviews online. Visit couldn’t have gone any better. Service was excellent and the food was beyond expectations! The Mexican lasagna was incredible. Will be back.
Excellent waitstaff. Good queso.
Awesome service. great caldo
Great place. Delicious food and even better Service. Drinks are awesome Wonderful place to take the family...
Comprehensive Tex-Mex and Mexican menu although slightly pricey. Good service. Nice tables outside if the weather is pleasant.
Great food and even better service. The Mexican Lasagna is a great addition to the typical Mexican fare. All good has great flavor and spices.
1st time visit there were 5 of us, Great food, friendly employees excellent hot sauce, good margaritas. Very accommodating on the separate and combing checks.
As always the food is amazing and the service is great! I just found my new favorite: Mexican Lasagna. So rich, and with my small appetite I have 2 meals.
Amongst the top Tex Mex food I’ve had living in Texas. Great family friendly environment. Great friendly service. Food was great! Definitely going back.
My brother and his family brunch at Casa Mama every Sunday morning and I enjoy accompanying them on occasion. They have good food and exceptionally friendly staff that all seem to really care about their restaurant. Thank you Casa Mama, I'll see y'all soon I'm sure.
Absolutely delicious, fast and friendly service and reasonable prices! My new favorite Mexican restaurant! I recommend the Brisket Enchiladas, always perfect! Margaritas are good too!
Great food but beware of the chairs. If yours wobbles when you sit down, it could collapse. Voice of experience? You bet. Quite a shock to the lady behind me as well, when I hit my head of the back of her chair as the chair collapsed and I fell backwards to the floor. I owe her an apology, and a debt of gratitude to her husband for helping me back up.
Each year I find myself in Plano for 3 days, and I have to dine out for my evening meal. While I have my "go-to's," I am always open to trying something new. Casa Mama had mixed reviews, but the food looked good. The day I arrived it was rainy, and had just gotten cold. I looked down at my clock in my car as I parked. 5:36. Finding a spot was horrible, as it shares a shopping center with other restaurants and businesses like Kroger. There was no way, even though I was parked next to building by the ballet studio, to remain covered. I entered soaking wet, requesting a table for 1. Thankfully, the AC wasn't on full blast. The wait staff was primarily male, and were experienced servers. They were pulling together, asking questions of one another. It wasn't crazy busy, and the food arrived quickly. The drink I had, the Chipotle Margarita, was very strong and quite good. Not for chugging. I don't know that I would have ordered another even if I had wanted it. One was just right. The enchiladas were some of the best I have had. The queso and poblano cream sauce was smoky and so so tasty. The chips and salsa were quite good too. I will certainly return, ans would suggest it to you, my friends.
Great food, great service, good prices. Happy hour drink prices even on Fridays. Definitely adding this place to my rotation. The chips and salsa are some of the best I've had.
A very pleasant surprise. The specials feature familiar Tex-Mex dishes with something special, such as ribeye fajitas and cheese enchiladas topped with mixed fajitas. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes on the menu. Friendly service and reasonable prices!
Stopped for dinner this past Saturday evening, our first time here. As we were past the dinner rush we were seated immediately. Service was attentive, fajitas for two standard for Mexican food. Salsa was excellent! Overall pleased so I'm sure we'll be back!
We went for a Friday lunch as our daughter was in town from Atlanta. We reached there early around 11:30 and glad we did. By Noon, it started filling up and most of the tables were occupied by the time we were done. And this place is big and spacious. We were greeted by the manager and seated as soon as we arrive and the complimentary Chips and Salsa was served. The server was attentive but did not rush us. Each of us ordered Enchiladas. The lunch portion comes with two Enchiladas along with rice and beans. The portion is large enough to satisfy your hunger but not large enough to stuff you. We finished our meal by sharing one serving of Flan which was yummy! Lunch for 3 with 4 alcoholic beverage and a dessert was around $55.00 which I consider real value for money.
