I have eaten here many times before and I have gotten orders to go. There are two kinds of brisket, the regular and the moist. I have ordered it several times before and each time I tell them that I want it moist and they do not understand the meaning of it. This evening, I stopped to pick up some brisket and again I asked for moist. To make the long story short, I threw the brisket in the trash as it was not fit to eat. The brisket was extremely tough and not tender at all. Also, they have raised the prices again. How can you sell something that you would probably not eat yourself.Dickies, you have just lost my business.

One of my favorite locations. Sticks to their roots and isn’t following the other Dickeys and trying to make it super fancy and uppity.Meat is always great and the service is top notch. Potato Salad is still the best side dish

Wow I'm not surprised by the Dickey's recent score of 78. I recently stopped going because the meat didn't seem fresh and no smoke flavor. Looks like I made the right decision by not going anymore. I just came across an article that may explain my last few visits. I did receive great customer service though but the quality and taste of the food, I won't go back."Dickey’s Barbecue Pit at 1211 14th St. scored 78 on Nov. 17. A food handler was working with an expired certificate, some dishes were not being sanitized and wastewater was found on the floor of the walk-in refrigerator."

I got the bbq sandwich meal.The brisket was so cold and fatty, could barely eat it.Took one bite of the potato salad and gagged, had to go straight into the trash. I would describe it as cold, mushy, sulfur.Soda was watery and under carbonated.I came in during a health inspection, and I overheard that they missed a few things (I didn’t get sick after eating to be clear, so food handling probably wasn’t too bad).Guys at the counter were nice enough, but the place was dirty.Good luck to this location…

Didn't realize it was close to closing time. I didn't want to purchase Dry Meat or Dry Side Dishes. But this location was way more respectful, honest and friendly! Overall the food was great! My brisket sandwich was delicious! I'll definitely be back!
Came in with a bogo coupon for a 2 meat plate at regular price. A 2 meat plate includes a drink at 15.99 per their menu. Was given the run around and ended up paying almost 40 bucks. Guy at register said the extra charge was for the 2 drinks and one tiny extra side. And of course the receipt had no breakdown. Meat was fatty and veggies tasted like they came from a can. Sad day. I was really looking forward to good Dickey's BBQ.

Absolutely disgusting!!! It was cold the chili cheese fries the chili was watered down the fries weren't cooked long enough they tasted half raw it was just absolutely nasty and then the damn price was $25 and they have shrunk the damn Westerner sandwich down on a ciabatta bread or whatever that is. Just a mess!! Livid is not the correct word to say but I don't know what it is. I have never went into a restaurant got my food and was out of there within 5 minutes That's how disgusting this food was. The damn shame Dickies used to be amazing.**UPDATE**These people reached out to me and ask what they could do to make it better I told them the story and ask for my money back. It's been crickets ever since. Don't go to the Dickey's on 14th Street in Plano Texas. They just want your money They don't care about your experience.
