I am a local who lives on the peninsula, so we've tried everything around here multiple times. The service here is consistently terrible. Not hit or miss, or one shift better than another, everytime terrible service. The food isn't bad at all, except they refuse to change ANYTHING. If u ask for something on the side, or a different dressing, they say no problem and then ignore it.... everytime. The only positive I can think of is how predictably consistent they are with the terrible service.

The food and service when we visited were both great! Matt the owner is super kind and attentive checked on us just as much as our waitress. The burger (muenster and bacon) was super flavorful, the fries were fresh and the chips were super thin and crispy! Next time I'm in Pottsboro I will come back and I am excited to try the one in Grapevine as well!

We are new out here and we keptGoing to the “island” because of atmosphere and location. But if I am being completely honest. Big daddy’s has better food, better drinks and more polite staff. They have a great vision!!

Went on fathers day and I must say, it was not a good choice at all. They did not have their act together. The service was horrible. I ordered my appetizer, 20 minutes later, my waitress came by telling me she had not forgotten me. My waitress was super nice. She told me how the manager had just walked out and thy were short staffed. Reluctantly, I went ahead and ordered my meal at that time. Welp, the appetizer arrived 30 minutes from the time of ordering. It was only fried cheese. Less than 5 minutes to make. I ended up telling her to wrap up my meal to go. She came back after another 15 minuted and told me there was a big table ahead of me and I would get my food after theirs. Oh, I arrived before them. So after 1 hour and 15 minutes, I paid out and left to eat my food. I was by myself. Once home, French fries and burger, yes all I got, was cold and needed reheating. So needless to say, it was greesy and rubbery. Also go sprayed with cleaner as the waitstaff was cleaning the table next to mine in the wind. It was all over me.

Their breakfast is good, but don’t get anything off of their lunch or dinner menu. We ordered food to go tonight. Food tasted like old grease. We had to take the discarded food outside to the trash dumpster because it smelled so bad! I wished I had taken a picture of the shrimp basket. Mealy little breaded shrimp. This place is good for breakfast and that is the only reason it is getting three stars instead of one.
