Nice ambience and service but small portions and way overpriced.

I could wax poetic about Clementine. Five stars all around…the meal, service, atmosphere. Love the open kitchen. Easily my favorite place to

We chose the chef's "Feed Me" option. A complete dining experience with this 6 course meal. Fabulous experience.

We’ve been here three times and each time it gets better and more impressive. The service is on point and all of the food is amazing!Very few places in San Antonio where you can get gourmet food like this at reasonable prices. Don’t forget the desserts, they are out of this world.Highly recommended.

The best piece of Spanish mackerel, or any fish, I've ever experienced. White mushroom salad is always excellent as well.

This was our first dining experience here, we were seated promptly at our reservation time, there were four of us dining together. All of us chose the “Feed Me” option. The food was tasty and had a different flair to it, the portions are really small so don’t go hungry! I felt that the dish size should have been for each person but they atre to be shared (2) the main meat served that evening was fish (Mackerel) not a favorite but I tried it, the fish was a little to “fishy” for my taste and would have preferred a more mild flavored fish but the idea of the feed me option is its a surprise. Considering the portions and a few glasses of wine the bill was staggeringly high $$$ the total for four was over $750.00 glad we had a gift certificate to soften the blow. Anyways it was crowded just very expensive for my liking when you consider we left hungry.

We walked in at 5pm on a Saturday without reservations and were quickly seated on the patio, which was a bit noisy with street noise but quite comfortable. The food + service were incredible (I’ve dined at 1-3 Michelin starred places), and they’re definitely deserving of their James Beard nominations and would likely sit at 1M star. We ordered the beet salad, flame tart (more like crack tostada!), broccoli pesto cavatelli, miso bass (yummy complex flavors) and the fried polenta with trout roe (definitely add it). I could not pass up the passionfruit crème brûlée and it was phenomenal; the chef also tossed in a complimentary cheesecake. Every single dish was better than expected and the service was attentive and relaxed, couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant!Kid-friendliness: Outdoor patio

Went for my birthday with my wife we did the option of what they call feed me. It was a six course plus a an extra desert for my birthday. I thought I was gonna be able to walk through the course but I definitely had no room in my after the final course. every dish was sent out with Chef Russ putting the final touches on before it hitting the table. The wait staff was outstanding and went over every dish being set before us. Atmosphere was low lit dinner quite and relaxing vibe. best meal of 2023 for me.

My girlfriend and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time. The reviews looked promising but our dinning experience was not that great. I had the scallops, and they were a bit bland. Plus the dish had three jumbo scallops and it was $44. If the taste had blown my socks off I could justify the cost but they failed to do so. I think the presentation was nice but they were boring tasting. I did enjoy the beets that I ordered before the scallops. My girlfriend's meal wasn't that great either. As we drove off we both agreed it was not worth a second shot. I will say the staff was very nice and attentive. No complaints there. I think the SA food scene isn't the best. We'll keep looking for the needle in the haystack.

Overall amazing experience from start to finish. We did the "feed me" option where basically the chef creates different courses that are not on the menu and you don't know what you're getting until it's out. Everything was delicious and used seasonal ingredients. If you appreciate food and want a top tier but different dining experience it's awesome.Dietary restrictions: They are extremely accommodating to those with food allergies or sensitivities. My friend who had diet restrictions had an amazing if not better than everyone else at the table.

Everything was so perfect. Perfect flavors and so much of it. Perfect textures. To add any specific description would be a disservice, it truly was an experience and I'm grateful Clementine exists.

Lesson learned, order a la cart. The good: The food was amazing. Absolutely seasoned, spiced, textured to perfection. The place is different from every other restaurant in SA, no visible bar and a semi-open kitchen, which is pretty neat. It's a postage stamp, so make a reservation. It feels very exclusive that way. Awesome for a date. The bad: They know this is coming. The tasting menu they sent out, albeit delicious, was not appropriately sized for a party of 6. Two courses of greens, a soup, mushroom tagliatelle, six scallops and 1/2 a chicken (cut awkwardly into 4). Our total was over $800. Our server asked, sheepishly, if we were still hungry before the last course, which I was. I asked if any meat was coming (as we hadn't had our single scallop or bite of chicken yet) to which he replied yes, the "entree is coming next". When the 4 pieces of chicken showed up we all laughed.I'm not a novice. I worked at a farm to table, small plates, James Beard nominated chef restaurant for 4 years, who offered set menus to large parties. If our expo had every plate come back clean, and then sent out the "grand finale" of 4 pieces of chicken for 6 people, I would have been embarrassed. I added up the "cost" of the menu they sent, unless the lentil soup was $40, I just don't see how we got what we paid for. We expected to spend money, we wanted the experience. We're not large people, all petite. The chef knew they messed up portions and sent out some cookies at the very end.I'll give this place another try, like I said, the reviews aren't wrong. The food is amazing. But my shared drumstick ended the night on very sour note.
