The staff was friendly and helpful, the food however, besides the hush puppies, was horrible. The catfish was bland with a sandy texture, the fries were tasteless, and the rice was bland. I'll try something else next visit, if there will be a next visit that is.

I went to J. Anthony's last Friday and had called in an order 30 minutes prior to picking it up. When I got home, I realized I was missing items. Since it was short notice, I chalked it up to them not having enough time on a busy Friday during lent. Since it's on the way home and it's lent, I figured I'd give them a second chance. I ordered my food to go again, but this time hours ahead of time so as to give plenty of time. When I got home and looked at my food, they had messed up yet again. I ordered the salmon plate with a double fry order but received salmon with macaroni and cheese along with mashed potatoes. Then, I ordered two separate orders of 1lb of popcorn shrimp and received one full 1lb order, but the other was only half a pound. My last plate was correct, and this time, I did receive the tartar sauce I paid extra to get, unlike last visit.

I rated it a 2 stars! I havent been here in a couple of months.I understand it's lent season and super busy! But that doesn't excuse them for forgetting almost everything in my order! I placed an online order, got confirmation and a time. When I got there it wasn't ready understandable. They gave me my food I went to my car to double check my order all I had was fries and shrimp no fish! Went back to the window to let them know. Took a couple of more minutes to get my fish, again got my order and checked it, none of my appetizers were in the bag! I went inside instead and told them " I shouldn't be coming back and fourth to get my missing items" low and behold the girl packing the orders was like " the order is right here" I'm like so they knew they didn't place the bag inside my order. Only one person apologized for the mistakes that were made. Get home and the gallon of tea taste like day old tea! We ended up throwing it out. Paid 60 bucks for all the mistakes they made!

Careful 2/23/24. when u go threw drive thru the girl is overcharging your card and keeping tips not authorized..I just got my card charged for extra $7.70 for nothing and now I called and the manager hung up a women and I asked to speak to the male because he was getting after the girl with long eyelashes and long fingers nails .. about her over changing the people to get the tickets right .. I heard her getting upset saying they always blame her. I wonder why and nobodies doing anything about it. Not right now nobody answering the phone at all. Because I know she changed for a tip management needs to know what's going on and refund what has been taken..back to the card. Not good for the company and revenue..

The fish was litersmally tastless! I have never had fish that did not taste like anything! Fish was soooo bland! After hella tartar sauce, heavy hotsauce and lemon pepper, it tasted ok! J. Anthonys has become a shell of itself! Got the family fish, and lb of popcorn shrimp. The shrimps was ok, but the fish..the fish was terrible! Nope sorry J -Anthony!
