So I was able to convince my wife to try again after a not so memorable dinner in the past. It was for breakfast this time and it was incredible! The omelets and French toast will keep her coming back.

I wanted to love this place so bad I tried it 3 times thinking I must have ordered the wrong thing. I tried their breakfast, a cheesesteak, and their signature Max and Louie burger. The food isn’t bad it’s just not great. Nothing I tried made me feel like I would want to order it again. The service was great every time though. The food doesn’t live up to the hype or the price tag.

We moseyed on into this little joint with the fam post-praise n' worship, and lemme give you the lowdown - this place was serving up happiness on a plate! We've been circling this place like vultures for some time now, and boy, did the wait pay off! They oughta rename it to Max & Louie's Texas Diner, 'cause the helping sizes are as big as a Texan's cowboy hat! It's like they're challenging your stomach to a high-noon duel at the OK Corral! Be ready to take some grub home 'cause you'll be waving the white napkin sooner than you think.Do yourself and your tribe a solid - hit this place up. Their menu is as vast as the Texas plains, and it had me dazed and confused trying to make a choice amid all the mouth-watering delectables. This here cowboy bestows upon Max & Louie a sky-reaching 6 stars! Make sure to drop my name - Mr210 - they won't know who you're talking about, but it sure will make ya sound cool!

Awesome spot to get the New York dinner experience in South Texas. Tons of options for food and all day breakfast. The sandwiches are delicious and the same goes for the burger. The meatballs are some of the best I have had from a restaurant.

We enjoyed dinner and everything was fantastic. The pastrami was excellent. The BLT on challah bread was perfect. The show stopper was the pepperoni pizza. The crust, the sauce, the toppings were all perfect. We loved our drinks and desserts too!Edit: another visit this time with photos of the food! Burger fries shake and a giant sandwich I don’t recall the name but delicious!

I picked the corned beef and pastrami hash with potatoes peppers and onions. You would think that the meat would be the predominant ingredient in this recipe since it was first. Not so. I picked out the meat and it was barely the amount of a skinny sausage link. Massive amounts of uncooked shredded potatoes. Extremely disappointed. Offered me a muffin as an apology. Which is totally missing the point that I needed some protein. No manager coming over to apologize and nothing taken off the bill. Coffee was excellent I had three cups which is rare for me.

Holy cow! The food portions were huge! Their calzone dough was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The desserts case was beautiful!

Bad value prop. Food is fine, authentic NY style blah blah, but $20 for a cheese calzone or any of the sandwiches? That doesn’t even include fries or even chips. Fagetaboudit!

What a great place to eat if you are looking for some very good food! I got the Greek salad, which is great but kind of boring, and my significant other called me out on as she loves the chicken and waffles and all the other great selections on the menu! I have never had a bad meal at Max and Louie's, and I look forward to my next dining experience there. I highly recommend this definitely if you are in the area and want a good dining experience! Get there early though. It does get busy and for good reason.
