Traditional Breakfast is my usual and never disappoints. The pancakes is the highlight for me! Matthew and Christin are always friendly, efficient and organized. One thing I really appreciate is that I don’t have to wait or ask for coffee refills, coffee is my vice and they get me. The atmosphere is sometimes noisy but that’s the opinion of a true curmudgeon, otherwise is a great breakfast place.

We absolutely loved our cake! It was beautiful!!!Meemo’s was very accommodating to us and our cake. Without hesitation, they offered to add the florals at the very last minute (this was my fault as I was completely unprepared.) We cannot thank them enough for ensuring everything was perfectly placed!

Came for breakfast - can’t say enough good things about this place! Previous reviewer mentioned the good coffee and it’s true - it tasted great. I had the spinach, mushroom, and goat cheese omelette - delicious! A generous amount of goat cheese and it’s topped with fresh avocado slices. Husband had mushroom cheese omelette and said it was very good as well. I even complimented our server on the fresh-tasting water - have had some nasty, musty-tasting water since arriving here in San Antonio - in our suite (tap water) and also from the melting ice in our drinks on the Riverwalk. The staff here were all very friendly, and efficient! We placed an order for a pecan pie, to be picked up later in the week, so cannot wait for that!

I have waited a year for this review as I wanted to give meemos a second try after having a negative experience with our wedding cake October of 2022. Let me preface this by saying that the staff since day 1 has been helpful, kind, and answered all questions we had at our initial wedding consult. During our wedding consultation last year we were served the most delicious, moist, and flavorful cake samples, paired with fresh fillings and light fluffy icing choices. It was a no brainer from that day that we wanted meemos to make our wedding cake. Fast forward to our wedding day and we could not be more disappointed. Our aesthetically beautiful cake tasted horrible by comparison to what we expected. The cake was hard and dry as if it had been in a freezer for weeks, the filling was almost none existent, and the frosting was bland. We got several comments throughout the night about how bad the cake was from our guests and majority of it ended up in the trash. This week, we went back to meemos for our 1 year anniversary cake in hopes that we would once again get to taste that amazing cake that we had anticipated since our consult only to once again be disappointed. Again our little anniversary cake is dense and dry, hard, and tastes like it has freezer burn. We wanted to love meemos from day 1 but unfortunately we would not recommend them for a cake, seemingly for any occasion, to anyone.

Cranberry nut cookie, spice, lemon, salted caramel...cupcakes, raisin cinnamon rolls! The Cranberry cookies was scrumptious. The cupcakes had that dense homemade texture that you can't get from a box cake mix! And, the frostings were the perfect complement with the right amount of sweetness and buttery flavor! The cinnamon roll was a bit too crusty for my liking. I prefer a softer cinnamon roll with lots of raisins! However, if you're not a raisin lover, you could easily pick them out. And, if you like a crustier pastry then you'll definitely be delighted. Not to mention, the icing on the top was finger licking good! Overall, I was pleased with my first visit to Meemo's Bakery! I will definitely add it to my list of places to go for a sweet treat!

Meemo’s Bakery & Cafe has a down home warm welcoming feel to it. The Owner Ms. Helen & the staff is personable & kind. We enjoy the delicious breakfast dishes & the homemade strawberry jam. Christin took great care of us. We also love the delicious German chocolate & Red Velvet cupcakes.

My husband had a black forest cake made here for my birthday and gave them creative liberty on the cherry blossom decorations which they did a great job on. Cake was reasonably priced too compared to other bakeries at $45 for the cake and $10 for the decorations. Customer service was excellent. We decided last minute to have a slice of cake while we were at the restaurant and they were very accommodating even going so far as to get us a candle so I could make a birthday with. Overall 10/10 experience and would highly recommend.

This was my first time at Meemo's, on a thursday about 11am. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. We were tended to very quickly by our server who was friendly and did not make us feel rushed. She was knowledgeable and was able to help us make our coffee and espresso decisions. My mom and I each had the two egg breakfast with pancakes and toast a la carte. I dont know the last time I was in a restaurant where the egg was cooked correctly "over easy". It was perfect, the potatoes were plentiful and tasty, as well as the ham. I could not finish my meal so I ended up having the pancakes the next morning, cold and on the go. They were soo good. I brought a pecan cinnamon roll home for my husband who loves cinnamon rolls. He said the breading was not like other rolls. This one was kind of fluffy and flaky and he said he could tell they were made for quality, not quantity. I also brought home the oatmeal whoopee pie. It stayed in its wrap until the next day and still did not miss a beat. It was still soft and very filling. I can't wait to go back!!!

This was my first time to visit this restaurant. Overall there were mixed reviews but after looking at some of the pictures and seeing the choices on the menu, I had to give this place a try. Well, I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly, the food came out hot and it came out without having to wait forever. I ordered the three meat hash with scrambled eggs and a biscuit. No complaints here! I will definitely be back. Oh, and by the way, I give bonus points for restaurants that cook in cast iron. Hell, they even served it in the cast iron skillet...that's extra bonus points. LOL!!

***NO MILITARY DISCOUNT*** I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The rye bread was toasted to perfection and paired wonderfully with the homemade mayo in my BLTA. The Death by Chocolate French toast was not only huge but incredibly tasty as well. I ended up with leftovers to enjoy later. While it's unfortunate there's no military discount, the amazing food made up for it. Highly recommended!

Tired of waiting in line to eat breakfast? As for now this low key place has allowed me to enjoy fantastic breakfast and brunch and also impress my friends. Their omelettes are amazing, their biscuits are amazing everything here is top notch. Coffee is great too. You come in and you feel like you are in a cozy dining room of a small town that just so happens to be the town only breakfast spot.

Yesterday's lunch was @meemosbakeryandcafe. It was all our first time and they were busy.I had the Blueberry Lemonade and my husband had the Arnold Palmer. Dad was excited to try their Original Pancakes. There were 3 and they were all huge. He only tried to tackle one. I had their Chicken Salad Sandwich and chose the pasta salad side. Their bread is baked in-house and was a bit delicate. I ate every bit of my food up, it was so good! My husband had the Gravy Skillet. With my Yelp check-in, I got a free cookie. I chose the Pecan Sandies. Was too full to eat it, so I brought it home. Also wanted to try the Blueberry Lemon Torte. Yummy! They bake cakes if you order ahead. They even had muffins. So many sweets, so little time.Check out my video on TikTok @1blessedjourney!

Meemo’s Bakery & Cafe is hands down my favorite breakfast spot in San Antonio, and possibly the entire universe (not that I’ve tried breakfast in outer space, but hey, you never know!). Every visit feels like a warm hug from a deliciously buttery croissant. The three meat hash is my morning superhero. It’s like a party in my mouth, with bacon, sausage, and ham doing their tasty tango. They should give it a cape, seriously! It’s a dish prepared with so much love, I can practically taste the affection in every bite. But let’s talk about those waffles, shall we? Oh my fluffiness! Meemo’s waffles are made with homemade batter that surely descends from the heavens. I’m convinced that each waffle is infused with magical breakfast powers. They’re so light and fluffy, they practically levitate off the plate. Add a touch of cinnamon butter and maple syrup, and I’m in pancake paradise! And let’s not forget about the chicken. It’s the superhero’s sidekick, always perfectly breaded and crunchy. I’ve never had a chicken that could pull off such a crispy coat while maintaining its tender and juicy personality. Hats off to the chicken chef! Now, onto the bakery wonders. Meemo’s never misses a beat when it comes to their bakery delights. Their cookies are like little drops of happiness, and the cinnamon rolls are so good they should come with a warning label: “May induce uncontrollable cravings and an addiction to frosting.”Here’s the coolest part: Each table at Meemo’s is adorned with unique salt and pepper shakers donated by patrons from all over the world. It’s like a mini art gallery for seasonings! Who knew that salt and pepper could be so fascinating? I’m half-tempted to bring my own shakers from home and make my mark on this peppered paradise. So, if you want breakfast that’s prepared with love, waffles from heavenly batter, chicken that’s breading perfection, and a side of artistic salt and pepper shakers, look no further than Meemo’s Bakery & Cafe. Your taste buds will thank you, and your mornings will never be the same!

We have gotten brunch at Meemo’s and had a great experience. We decided to order a custom birthday cake which turned out absolutely spectacularly. The entire experience was amazing, from the initial email to discuss our request to the moment we picked up the cake. Meemo’s was very responsive to all communications and made our dream for this custom cake a reality. It received so many complements, both on the design as well as the flavor of the cake itself. If you are looking for a custom cake I highly recommend Meemo’s!
