I’ve been to Paesanos Riverwalk before, but this time we chose a different location since parking was much easier for our out-of-town friends. They were craving good Italian food, and this place definitely delivered.
The food was just as great as I remembered, and the drinks were equally enjoyable. Portions were a bit on the smaller side for the price, but the quality makes up for it. The atmosphere felt intimate and perfect for a relaxed evening, and the service was very friendly throughout.
Definitely a great spot for a celebration or just a nice dinner out.

The exception was the mash potatoes, it tasted to butter. * No possible to eat* and needed to change for other option. Please improve on it!! The rest, good taste.

Attention of the waitress was good, not outstanding. We needed to ask for couple of things different times, wait, and ask again for the same thing. The restaurant was busy, it is understandable but need better attention, do not forget. It can help if they take notes and not in the memory.

My family and I enjoyed our dinner at Paisanos 1604. The food here was excellent. Large portions and served hot. The Fettuccine Margaret was some of the best pasta I have had in a long time. I recommend the double chocolate cake for dessert, it was to die for. The atmosphere was so warm and elegant. Our server was very kind and very attentive. We will definitely be returning to enjoy another wonderful meal.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere and scenic outdoor dining with fountains and little pond with fish. The server wasn’t the most friendly but the food was delicious. I love the escargot and the toffee banana pudding dessert was so yummy!

Very disappointed in the food. Was not the greatest . Waited to go here for awhile and very disappointed. Server was kinda pushy and didn't seem to want to keep us happy. Just kinda felt like an afterthought. Prefer the old location much better. Beautiful place though.
Paesanos is such a core restaurant in San Antonio, they have been in business for a long time , they are an institution, and they keep their food and service quality high.
They are famous for a dish: Shrimp Paesanos, it’s a delicacy. A buttery pasta with a lemony hint and 5 lightly breaded shrimps, oh my! Absolutely delicious.
Today I venture out and ordered Lamb, I love lamb and decided to try it, it didn’t disappoint, but I will stick to Shrimp Paesanos next time.
They welcome you with freshly made bread with olive oil and a very good type of tapenade.
Main entrees include a salad and for a small charge you can upgrade your house salad to cesar salad, which I did and I loved it.
Our appetizer was the bruschetta, it comes with 6 small pieces, loaded with flavor.
Suitable for all group sizes and perfect for every occasion.
