Made reservations in advance for special occasion for two. Requested table far from the kitchen and staff traffic area. We were placed next to the kitchen and disregarded the request. The female hostess didn't even try to accommodate. Food and waiter were decent. For paying $100 per person go somewhere else. Specially for special occasionss. This restaurant has bad customer service.

Great food, service, and drinks. My husband ordered Ribeye and gratin which was amazing. I ordered special of the day, lamb with mash and veggie medley. Delicious! He ordered an old fashion which is one of his favorites. I got the cheesecake which was amazing but had to share since I couldn't finish it on my own. My step son ordered the ribeye , gratin, and the lobster tail which he loved. Also, the vanilla brûlée which hit the spot.

Great Dining Experience. Our first time at this restaurant but we will be back soon. The food, wine and service were all top notch. Our server, Hillary, was attentive and made great recommendations. The decor was nice, and the low noise level allowed for pleasant conversation. It was a lovely anniversary meal.
Food was excellent, waiter was nice and friendly but a little too quick with bringing the bill. We had ordered a bottle of wine and were trying to finish our glasses when he started taking glasses away. Felt a little pushed at that point.

Excellent ambience … Excellent service …Disappointing steaks — I guess their buyer prefers seafood and doesn’t know how to choose steak? There was a total lack of marbling on the prime ribeye steak. One wonders if the steak is always lacking or just inconsistent. Plenty of steakhouses in San Antonio that consistently offer high quality steak so I am unlikely to come here again.

Very nice ambience and excellent service for our return visit to Silo after not having been in over a year or so. We started with a lentil soup and the house salad which were both perfect - I would think some goat cheese would go great with this particular salad and may request it next time. We both enjoyed the pan roasted chicken which is top notch in flavor and texture. Really one of the best in the city. One of us had the mashed potatoes and asparagus the other potatoes and spinach. The potatoes are dense and very fatty so I'd probably opt for two green vegetables next time instead but they are delicious. The asparagus was still pretty crunchy, I prefer it a little more tender but still very good. The main dish we had is severed in a large wide rim bowl, but I think it would be much easer to manage on a plate instead. We finished with creme brulee which also very very good. Shout out to Reghan for excellent, personable, friendly service. Overall, a great experience.
Many, many meals at all the Silo restaurants, and not a bad one yet! I almost always order the special, especially if it's fish, and this time it was striped seabass with crabmeat and was delicious. The filet mignon was it's usual tasty, tender excellence. Fried oysters were a little chewy, but otherwise fine. Chocolate mousse for desert was excellent as well.

I had the fish special along with the Bisque. Bisque was awesome the fish was way over done. I was entertaining a prospective client so I didn't advise the chef. If he saw the plate come out of the kitchen I am sure he would not have served it. John H
The food at Silo elevated has been consistently excellent for years. The wait staff is professional, and the ambience is very pleasant. The noise level is low so you can actually have a conversation with your dinner partners unlike many restaurants in San Antonio. This has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years. The steaks are excellent, the vegetarian dish is delicious as are the cocktails.

Waitress was excellent, we arrived and were sat immediately. Appetizers were good, duck egg rolls were my favorite, crab cake was bland. Lamb special was outstanding, NY strip was decent not the best, scallops were fantastic. Overall nice experience.

So disappointed. Ordered the Tenderloin medium well and came medium rare, so frustrating for this kind of restaurant. Also, saw the cook wearing a blue baseball cap, touching the steaks he was cooking with his bare hands, disgusting.
