I have been coming since it opened (re-opened) I love the staff, atmosphere and general vibe. The bar ladies are always with a smile that make you feel glad you came. The bar manager Lisanna, is very pleasant, hard working and engaging. The food is good, not great, but a good home feeling. Thanks

Weekly specials are affordable, well proportioned and tasty. I had the 2 pc. catfish with a side on Tuesday for $9.99. Best part of the visit was they carry Dr. PIBB Xtra!!!! That spicy soda is so good. 🔥 The service was attentive, the atmosphere is positive and best of all country music performances on selected dates!

Had the chicken fried chicken sandwich and fries, the sandwich was good nice crust and flavor and the fries were lightly salted and a little crispy. Definitely will be back to try more items on the menu. Fantastic country bar and restaurant

A local Northwest San Antonio favorite returns under the management of a local family small business. Renamed back to its original historic name, the Lone Star Inn is alive and thriving. Previously, the Grady's Restaurant operated on the premises, but this new establishment is much better managed, clean, and well kept. The fare is of excellent quality at a modest price. The owners care about preserving this historic building. My family visited for a birthday celebration, and the venue exceeded expectations. The brisket sandwiches, fried catfish, and appetizers such as fried pickles and mushrooms were all excellent.
Greeted and treated like family. Great staff, super fair prices. Highly recommend.

Be very careful with to-go orders. The girl had to show me the order and open it up before I accepted it because they've been getting a lot of calls of stuff not being in the order. So what they showed me as part of my order was a side order of coleslaw for $3.79 in a 1.5 Oz container that is a sauce container not even 1 inch tall. So before I left I went back to the window and demanded a refund. Sliced brisket sandwich with creamed corn and a side of coleslaw and a tea was $18.16 the sandwich was small the coleslaw was a complete rip-off. How can anyone in the kitchen preparing that think that was good business?

My husband placed an order to go. He ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a marbled brisket sandwich. The worker asked which side he wanted with each. Upon arriving he was charged for a combo for both. He had somewhere to be so he paid and hoped the sides would be worth it. They were not. The coleslaw was almost flavorless and the Mac n cheese was mush. The pulled pork was decent enough. However, the brisket was 2% marbled and 98% dried out. Very disappointing meal.
