Very fresh!! Vegetables weren't soggy like most Chinese food. Very fresh vegetables and meats. Chicken egg rolls were actually pretty good. Fair price for the amount of food.
I just started a new job in the area and love Asian food. I was told this place was pretty good so I gave it a shot. I ordered take out for lunch. Jalapeno beef...I didn't get ANY beef. It was nothing but pieces of fat. I couldn't chew it at all. Not to mention the lunch price was 4 dollars more than what was on their Google page. After spending 13$ I actually drove back and asked for them to make it right because I wanted to give them a chance to make it right and earn my business back. The lady at the counter who I'm pretty sure was part of the ownership looked at me like I was crazy and went into the kitchen and started screaming! The whole dining area could hear her!Long story short they "re-made" the food using chicken. The "chicken" was diced up like an onion and my coworker said it tasted like shrimp.....I won't be back and certainly won't recommend this establishment.Do better.
We love Tjin. Everything we have ordered has been good. The crab wonton's are amazing.
Food was hot and delicious! I got the cashew chicken and my husband got the orange chicken. We came during lunch and the service was friendly and fast. It was a bit warm inside so no need for a jacket as some restaurants in Texas require ? My only complaint would be that the TVs were running the news everywhere. It kind of killed the nice atmosphere for me ?
This restuarant delivered authentic Chinese cuisine at an affordable price. The flavors were bold and unforgettable. The service I received was excellent and the staff was professional. The food came out steaming hot. Our drinks never fell below the half mark. We were checked on very frequently. This restaurant should serve as a model for other restuarants in the area. Tjins is a solid asian/Chinese restaurant in the 410/151 Westover hills area. They have lunch specials every day and rhe servings are well worth the price of under $10. Sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and hunan delight are some of my faves.
Picked up two plates and both did not taste good so I called and politely requested a refund and to take the food back. Gentleman who answered the phone told me that they do not do refunds or take back any food. He went on to talk to me like I was a child and explained that nobody told us to go there. We went there and ordered this food and it was made for us and it's not his fault that we didn't like the food. Also he said that it costs them way more money for supplies and to make this food than the amount of $27.00 I was trying to get back. He said he was sorry and hung up.
Worst Chinese food I've ever had low quality will not return to this restaurant anymore
The wonton wrappers were under cooked here so the cheese rangoons were gross by the time we got the food the egg roll really cold and unappetizing. Don't order the General Tso chicken and the phallic shape doesn't do the flavor any justice. Won't order from here again.
Menu is delicious! Hot and sour soup is so so good. Very clean restaurant. The bathrooms are immaculate! Food is cooked fresh. Great portions and prices!
Hands down the BEST Chinese food we've had in San Antonio thus far. Ordered the Orange Chicken, General's Chicken and the Crab Cheese Puffs (app had 6 total). Delicious. Spice level was great. Huge pieces of chicken. My kids even really enjoyed the food.Negatives: poor service from the one waitress. She had a poor attitude as well. Hoping it was just an off day for her and she doesn't treat all of the patrons like that. (she lost the star). The waiter working picked up ALL of her slack and then some. He was fantastic.
I ordered the Singapore noodles, it had good flavor at first but as I got to the bottom part of the noodles the noodles we really oily. The waiter was pretty awesome though very friendly constantly checking on us
Tjins diced orange chicken was one of the few dishes my son could have due to food allergies. We moved from San Antonio a year and a half ago and he hasn’t found anything he likes better. He’s been craving it ever since. I flew to San Antonio this weekend and, thanks to Southwest Airlines, when I came home I had Tjins in tow! He was in heaven. I know it sounds crazy, but life’s precious moments are full of the small things. Thanks Tjins for having an allergy friendly diced orange chicken.
We love the food ! But there's a waitress who has a very horrible attitude, net you know who she is.. she's been our server for more than 2 occasions and the last time we went there the guy who is at the register (very nice guy ) took control of the situation because he noticed we were getting mad, and she looks like she doesn't even Care... even when we order to go, and she takes the orders she has a very awful attitude, we love the place and the food but this type of workers makes us not wanting to be there anymore ?? (my kids says I want Tjins but I don't want to feel that lady's vibes) ???♀️
Really good food as well as the service ! Don't come to San Antonio often but we definitely will return.
