This would be a 4 star if not for the service. Ordered online and was told it would be ready in 15 min. Arrived 30 min later. They said the food would be right out. They brought out someone else's order and said mine would be next. Brought out 2 more orders and both times mine was to be "next". All the while there were more than a dozen orders passed out to the door dash drivers at the window. 40 minutes after arrival my food appeared. Obviously they never started my order until I arrived. Food was good but I expected great for being this close to a major city.

I have been here and what a treat for my taste buds. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor inside the restaurant. What was surprising was the German roach we had on our table. I know that it's hard to keep roaches out of a building. However we did and that I the only reason why I scored it a 3 star. Other than that would did love the food.

We wanted so much to love this place. Been craving delish Chinese food for quite some time since we're fairly new to the area. We relied exclusively on the nearly 5 star Yelp rating but sadly we were disappointed in the food. We found it greasy, mushy and just overly sauced (dark brown ??). Will continue seeking the ultimate Chinese cuisine.

I've never had a less than great meal here in the restaurant or to go. Aunt May is awesome and the staff are great. Everything is very fresh and well made. I recommend the Crispy Hunan Fish...it is amazing!

This is my first time to get takeout from Taste of China. I ordered the (lunch) portion of Hunan Chicken and it was outstanding! It came with fried rice, wonton soup, and an egg roll (probably the biggest and best one I've ever had). I don't usually gush- but this place is worth it.

Absolutely amazing the staff is so nice and the walnut shrimp is to die for ! If you live in the neighborhood behind TOC they usually are nice about not charging a delivery fee as well !

Ordered our food for delivery. We waited for 1 hr and 15 min. Got the order and it was missing half of what was ordered. Called back and they corrected it, then paid for the food that was not charged for, then got credits for the stuff that was sent to us. Then got the rest of the order. Bam. Missing a portion again. We have used this place for over a year and lately we have had issues with a few previous orders. I hope they get it fixed soon. The food is good and the staff are nice. This time was a big fail. We will find another place to try out next time.

The eggplant in garlic sauce was FULL of seeds to the point where it was unpleasant to eat /: the produce in general didn't seem to be very high quality. However, the spring rolls and lo mein were really tasty so in the end it evens out to about average I guess.

This is the best Chinese food in Houston. The egg rolls are the best in town. I love the sweet and sour chicken, and the won ton soup is the best. The broth is always flavorful and the dumpling is excellent. You won't be disappointed.

First, I picked them because we had ordered there before and it was good. So, I was surprised to get the subpar food and horrible customer service that I received today. We ordered a bunch of food and requested fried rice instead of white. When I looked at the rice it looked like white rice. I called and she asked me to send a pic and told me it was fried rice. I said ma'am this is white rice with egg in it. There is no soy sauce and no peas and carrots. This is NOT the rice I normally get with my food. She said this is complimentary you have to pay more for the other. I said thats fine but you should tell people not just assume. I requested fried rice and that's what I wanted. To make a long story short I told her to replace it or come get it. She hung up the phone. My friends were content with keeping the food because they were hungry so I didn't take it back and I am glad because I probably wouldn't have behaved well so God saved me from embarrassing Him.
