The Republic Grille

We ate there first time today. We’re from San Antonio the manager came and greeted us and was so nice. Then waiter Chris, he was awesome. Friendly and helpful with menu and very attentive to us and our needs. Food was excellent. Dessert Bananna pudding and Blackberry cobbler Ala mode. We will go back every time we are in Houston. Excellent.

Omg everything was soggy under cook. It was won of the worst dinner we had. We ordered the chicken fried steak which was Very gooey and it was Like a tiny burger underneath a bunch of breading , it was one of the worst we ever had

Our server, Chris was superb: courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I had the Portobello non-burger on wheat and it was delicious-even without the aioli added. The fries were crispy and had a good potato flavor. My friend had the Chicken Marsala which she said was good as well, along with the grilled asparagus. It was a most enjoyable lunch with excellent service.

I stopped in for lunch. I ordered a Grogan Salad and French onion soup. The food and service was excellent.

Great spot, our waiter @J_Letti was over the top friendly and knowledgeable. I got the cajun ribeye and just told him to fix it like he gets it, and it was awesome. He's from New Orleans and felt immediately like family so I couldn't go wrong. My wife had the chicken marsala and said it was delicious. We both had the green beans which were great and had bacon cooked in with them so that's right 👍. We also both had the mashed potatoes but mine were loaded because Mr. Letti hooked me up, my wife's potatoes were not loaded as I guess is standard. Tables are a bit close but doable. They have booths and tables inside and they do have outside seating on a covered patio. They have a full bar as well. Worth trying out, we'll definitely be back even though it's a 45 minute drive for us.

We arrived when they opened, was told I couldn't bring in my empty Yeti, the Alfredo sauce tasted like flour, the spinach artichoke dip was not cooked through. The service was great! Not sure I will eat there again. Much better options in the area for better food.

Wow. We took the Father in Law for lunch and it was great. I had the Pasta Valentino and it was fantastic! I regret not getting cobbler for dessert. Update: went back with FIL. I had the TRG salad and he had the chicken fried steak. Two thumbs up!
