Awesome place. Super nice and great
Really love the food there , but it seems like the bill got padded a little bit and they forgot to put bacon on my sandwich that I clearly requested. 86 bucks for 2 peoples lunch. Ouch, good thing my company paid for it.

Love the quesadillas
Excellent food and service. Every dish we have tried has been perfect, and we always have the same waiter who makes the experience that much better. It's not exactly cheap to eat here, so be prepared. The atmosphere is dark enough where we needed our phone flashlights to read the menu, and the bathroom is a labyrinth away.
My drink was awful. Bartender didn’t know much on bartending, he was very standoffish and rude to customers. Didn’t know a vodka and cranberry was hard to make… the atmosphere was nice just wasn’t expecting such bad service. Wont be going back.
I came here for a going away party on 1/19/24 and this is the worst experience at any restaurant I’ve ever had in Tyler.Food - I ordered the Hawaiian cheeseburger and chips and the burger, as well as the chips were both burnt. Several of my coworkers also had issues with the quality and lack of flavor of the food.Service - we had a decent size group so I was cutting the waitress a little bit of slack. HOWEVER, I sat at the table for 3 hours and didn’t get a single refill on my water, and the waitress spilled someone’s water on our table, gave us a rag and never gave us new napkins or silverware.Bill - Unfortunately the 20% tip was included in the bill due to party size, or else I wouldn’t have tipped. When I paid my 20.73 bill, I paid with 21$ in cash and never saw any of my change. The waitress KEPT the 27 cents, which isn’t much, but for terrible service and food, I was going to keep my change.I will NEVER be back to this establishment and I’m sure several of my coworkers share the same sentiment.
We loved our visit here. Great service, food, and atmosphere. We can't wait to go back.
We loved our dinner here at Rick’s on the Square!I had the red fish tacos and a side salad. Fresh ingredients and great service! My husband enjoyed the salmon! We shared a slice of key lime pie and it was excellent!Who ever manages the music needs an award. Awesome rat pack songs all the way to 70s. Love!

Wonderfully warm atmosphere with great character. Excellent service. Salad was very fresh. Salmon was piping hot and red fish tacos were plentiful and flavorful. The great music added to a special evening!
Need more seasoning,Staff wasn't attentive for us,Bar area seems nice and comfortableRestroom very small for size of building
Cost should be a line added. I love Rick’s food and atmosphere but my colleague ordered a salad and requested chicken instead of ham. I can see a reasonable up charge but almost $25 for the salad and iced water? That is ridiculous. And to top it off a 3% charge was added for using a credit card. Next time we eat out downtown, we will consider other options.

Made a reservation letting them know it was for a birthday and also was excited about the live band. Our reservation was for 7:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated right away. We had a family next to us whose kids were running around everywhere. Our server took a very long time to greet us, bring us our drinks, and return to take our order. The menu has a mix of several things but for an upscale cost (which is understandable for the area). We both ordered the Chicken fried steak with sides of Au gratin potatoes and macaroni. The food was seasoned well and overall tasted good. There were maybe only 5 tables with customers the entire time we were there. We waited a long time for our check and an even longer time for her to pick up our check and charge us (with a 3% card fee on top). We found out the band didn't even begin playing until 9:00pm which felt so late to start. On top of everything, they didn't do anything special for a birthday which was a bummer. Overall, the atmosphere was beautiful and the food was good. Just wish the prices were a bit better and our server would spend less time hanging out in the back and more time focused on the customers. Also, we would've loved to hear the band play...
Rick's was a warm, enjoyable, high-quality experience. Francisco was our server, and his service was a plus to our event. I am also surprised and impressed at the range of prices. Rick's can be my special anniversary, elegant dinner or my Friday casual, fun outing.
Nice place on the square in Tyler. We ordered from the bar, I ate the beef tenderloin taco accompanied by a side of rice. Probably one of the best gringo tacos I've eaten in east Texas.
