We are from out of town so really had no idea where to go, my son chose this place since it was his birthday. We were not impressed when we first walked in it felt dank and greasy and there were literally maybe 2 other tables at 7:00 on a Thursday. I got the feeling it was not kid friendly but we had our 3 year old and decided to roll with it. The hostess, like others have said, was on her phone a lot. Nobody came to our table for a while; once our waitress got there she was nice and gave recommendations which I always appreciate. I was surprised by the food as I was not expecting it to be good. Pita bread and hummus appetizer: hummus was pretty good and had good flavor, pita was like cardboard. I got the bacon and blue cheese burger and honestly it was one of the best burgers I have ever had; cooked perfectly, they have a homemade ranch dressing that is DELISH and went so well with my burger. Penne pasta was good, macaroni and cheese was good. Chicken fried chicken was pretty good. House made chips were good. It was pretty expensive and like others I don't like being up charged because I use a debit card. It was over 200$ and we don't drink alcohol. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 11 year old, and 3 year old. The waitress was sure to let me know their restaurant was geared more towards adults so we probably will not be going back because we always have children but I would not mind having that burger to-go again!

We were in town for gymnastics competition and thought we give this place a try. So our group of 12 was very glad we chose Ricks because everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I didn’t hear any complaints, the waiter’s were amazing with bringing our food out making sure everybody ordered was correct. They went above and beyond to get anything we needed( specially pickle spears lol)

We absolutely love Rick's. Our server was so very sweet and knowledgeable, and her energy was amazing. The drinks weren't watered down and the food was top notch. Will definitely return more often.

Walking in, it was a bit upscale & a bit bar with big tv. Our server was Rachel, who was excellent. She was helpful and personable. We enjoyed our cocktails. We ordered a 5 oz filet with scalloped potatoes & grilled vegetables. Unfortunately the filet was overcooked but Rachel quickly had it made right. Second filet perfect. The grilled veggies were sooo good. So were potatoes. Gumbo was very tasty. Definitely recommend & will return.

We've recently moved to the Tyler area and Rick's has been our spot to have a nice dinner or a drink! The bar aera is comfortable and has real bartenders! They know how to make excellent cocktails! The restaurant has great food with plenty of choices. Look forward to coming back in a couple weeks.

Great place to go no matter the occasion. We made reservations for my dads 84th birthday and were not disappointed. Very nice atmosphere yet you can dress comfortably. Will definitely go back.

Rick's on the Square is our favorite place to celebrate any special event. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is always kind and informative about the menu. We will continue to go back time and time again. ❤️

Once again, Rick's On The Square was great. My U12 shrimp was exceptional. The steak was average. Highly recommend the oysters along with any of their seafood. The band, Members Only, is our favorite band to see but there are other great bands through the months. Amazing atmosphere for a night out with friends!

Overpriced and mediocre food. "Pan fried garlic chicken" ($23) may as well been chicken and gravy - the sauce was tasteless with no hint of garlic. Waiter told us that the "grilled salmon" ($25 with a goopy, flavorless side sauce) was wild caught - not! Color and texture indicated it was clearly farm raised. The "California Burger" ($19 w/ fries) was overcooked and (surprise!) flavorless. Slivers of avocado, tiny amounts of onions/mushrooms. We didn't complain as we had no time for it to be corrected but it was certainly underwhelming for the price. This place used to be much better!! However, service was good (other than the inaccurate salmon description), as are the cocktails (if pricey at $13 a pop).

Really love the food there , but it seems like the bill got padded a little bit and they forgot to put bacon on my sandwich that I clearly requested. 86 bucks for 2 peoples lunch. Ouch, good thing my company paid for it.
