We have always enjoyed Yamato!! Great food and always fresh fish. Pretty cool there was an artist in the house. This is definitely one of our go to spots in Tyler!! Service is always on point and resturant is always clean!! Price is comparable to other places in the area.

Service was great but sushi was *meh* mostly because the rice was really dry and you couldn't bite thru a single piece of sushi so u had to put the whole thing in ur mouth ...the really dry rice is the reason for the 3 stars

Great place to have lunch. It was fast and friendly. The food overall was average for me but didn't cost alot of money so I felt it was worth trying and still could afford to return to try something different. Mondays was all day happy hour so there appetizers were a good deal. I highly recommend the Calamari as it was plentiful and delicious.

Took my family to Yamatos today for my son's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal!! I'm very picky over my sushi and theirs was just about perfect, very fresh, and perfectly prepared. They made my son feel special without embarrassing him and even gave him a complimentary dessert. We'll be back for sure. A big thanks to the Yamato crew for such a great experience.
