Old city of Van Texas. This place is legit. The patty melt was delicious. Their ranch dressing, homemade, addictive. The place is properly old and you can feel it. The ceiling lights, I couldn't stop staring at them. You go back in time a little bit, more so if you let yourself. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere and can't beat the city.

Have been wanting to try this place. Went in and was never greeted by one person. Standing there. Standing there. People coming in behind us. We had to ask the couple behind us do we just sit down? They said yes. No clean tables. We sat at one piled with dishes. Went to go ask if someone could clean it. The lady cleaned the table of the couple that came in after us while I am standing there to talk to her. She took their drink order. Ignored me and walked away. The older couple looked at me because they knew we had been waiting but they didn’t tell her. Someone finally took the dirty dishes, one of the waitresses, but never took a drink order. Multiple attempts were ignored. Absolutely the rudest people. We finally left. We will give our money to people that know how to treat customers. Absolutely ridiculous. The rudest people we have encountered in a very long time. We have not been treated that way anywhere else out here. Don’t waste your time.

We had been wanting to try this place. Went for dinner. The “restaurant” is about the size of our living room with tables. We stood there. Kept standing there. No one greeted us at all even though they could clearly see us and walked past us. People came in behind us. Then another couple. We asked the couple behind us if we are supposed to just sit anywhere. They said yes. No tables were clean. We sat at a table piled with dishes. I got up to ask if someone could clean it. Make sure to try "Jason's Hash." Service is great. I gave a 3 for the atmosphere because it is a smaller place, and when it is busy, it gets a little loud. Overall, it is well worth the stop.
