Great family owned restaurant! I love the mom and pop feel along with the community of Van. At Christmas they decorate like no other with lights, and a theme and it's so fun!Parking: Smaller lot so when it's busy it can get tight with all the work trucks but have never had a problem finding a spot.

A touch far for me, I live in Canton, but worth the trip. Ham and eggs with biscuit and grits. Ham was an actual slice of ham and very tasty. Biscuit was delicious and the grits were some of the best ever. Service was polite and quick. I highly recommend this establishmentFood: 5/5

Classic small town diner full of locals. Food was great but coffee was only dark water. If coffe had been decent, I would have given 5 stars. We had breakfast that was delicious.Food: 4/5

This was the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in. There was trash under each table & it looked like when the staff cleaned the tables they just pushed all the crumbs on the floor. Didn’t stay so I don’t know if the food was good. If I was the owner, I definitely would be having a talk with my staff. Wouldn’t recommend it. Didn’t spend any money but you had the click on something

You'd think every town would have a diner like The Dinner Bell but you would be wrong. Food wise, you have a pretty standard short order menu, which is pretty great, but what sets this place apart is the wait staff. Everyone knows the charm of a diner is the energy of the wait staff and The Dinner Bell does not disappoint -there is an incredibly warm and energetic team of waitresses that keep things humming along and still have a moment of chitchat for newcomers and a warm welcome to regulars. And, as a bonus, The Dinner Bell is wonderfully decorated for the holidays! I wish I lived close by so I could visit on a regular basis.

Small, dark hometown cafe that needs some updating. Serves breakfast and lunch/dinner. Food was just ok. One of the few dine-in restaurants in town. Appeared to be well patronized by the locals.Food: 2/5

Food was great! Ordered the veggie omelet with hash brown, toast and sausage patties. Great service, great food….first time…..I’ll be back to see what else sparks my tastebuds!

I usually love the dinner bell but today was mediocre. I had flat waffles, burnt bacon, Luke warm coffee, and eggs that were noticeably below room temperature.

Great service & great burgers! Great local restraunt to eat at in downtown Van. They usually have a special during the week posted on the blackboard. We spent a little over $30 for three people to eat with drinks and we were all full (and I brought home 1/2 my burger for lunch the next day). You can call ahead & pick up and order or dine in. It's a small & cozy home town Cafe type restraunt.

Service was very good, the food had good taste, portion was a bit small for the price, I has the grill chicken and it was a little rubbery! Busy at time of visit, but was clean and fast.
