This is probably the 4th or 5th time but they always forget the gravy for cfs and tarter sauce for the fish ....I live too far to turn around and come back .....highly disappointed!!!

We went there on a Thursday night and had around 15 minutes of wait time. The server was nice. We ordered their fried mushroom for appetizer. It was very crunchy from the outside and soft inside. The portion is pretty good. It came it with ranch. Then we ordered their chicken fried steak and mixed fajita plate. We ordered 8oz steak and it was huge! 4oz would be more than enough I believe. The fajita plate was good too. But next time I would order beef fajita only because the beef was so good! We took their onion rings on top of the fajita and obviously couldn’t finish it. Oh, forgot to mention about their bread and butter that was served before the entree. The bread is very good as well. Super soft and very tasty. I would recommend trying their food if you’re in the area.

The waiter was excellent. The atmosphere was great. The tacos were good but a wee bit dry. The fish and chips were spot on.Parking: If you are not familiar with Waco you will miss thr turn off into the restaurant because the entry is directly off an on ramp..we went in circles 3 times before we saw it

Kitchen seemed to be a bit slow but the menu was exciting. Great price points. The bacon they use is excellent. Would definitely return. Seems like the overall restaurant has become a bit more family friendly through the years with less emphasis on the beer.
The food here has been nothing but great every time we visit! Tiffany is such an attentive waitress as well and has been nothing but kind!! We visit every week and the quality is always so amazing!

We have eaten here many times since moving to Waco. This is the place we bring out out of town visitors. We have loved everything we have tried. The portions are big too. Either split something or plan on having leftovers for dinner.
We've been to George's several times, primarily when we come up from Austin for OSU games with Baylor, and we've never been disappointed. The food is always good, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Janette was our server this time, and she was great! It's rare to find a restaurant these days that has really good service, and good home-cooked food like George's. Also, without very cold temperatures and/or very loud music (both of which benefit the restaurant, but not the patron). It was a Saturday lunch, very crowded, but they got us in pretty quickly, and out in time for the game. It was a pleasant, quiet atmosphere in the main dining area.

Good food. Love to get the veggie plate here. They have wonderful rolls and broccoli, rice casserole, which is not easy to find. Service is always decent. It’s the closest thing you can get to Black Eyed Peas these days but I didn’t notice the last time I was there. They also serve breakfast on the weekends for breakfast lovers.!
