Got the 4 meat plate. Brisket, chicken, links, turkey. Absolutely amazing. Everything had great flavor and very juicy. Perfect amount of smoke. Banana pudding and chocolate cake were delicious!!! Atmosphere was very relaxing and the decor was very simple but classy!!! Christian music in the background very soothing. Will definitely be back

Placed a LARGE order of chicken and links for 200 people for a funeral. Told them I would pick up the day before and would reheat myself. They so politely separated the portions of the chicken accordingly in different pans. When I reheated the meats, they tasted as if they were cooked the same day. This is a restaurant that my church uses quite often for big gatherings. As usual, they did not disappoint. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The food was amazing I love trying the "hole in the wall" places because they usually are the best.. could do a kids option as my 2 youngest had the 1 meat plates and was to much food for them ( 6 and 8)
Great spot! Came here for lunch on a whim while in town for work. Amazing value. Super kind service. Totally delicious BBQ. Got brisket, ribs, and chopped beef, Mac & Cheese, and green beans, included pickles and onions. Fantastic flavors all around.
Had to get a box because I couldn't finish. They also had some MEAN looking cake that I just couldn't allow myself to have. If I have time, I'm coming back!

THIS! The place is outstanding! The brisket is so tender and juicy. I got potato salad and mac and cheese for the sides, and they were amazing. I don't know how I have not known about this, people need to try it out you won't be disappointed. The owners are very nice, and I felt like I was right at home getting awesome down home cooking. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. Please give them a try if you are in the mood for awesome Texas barbecue ! I give yall a 10, being the best barbecue place ever.

Named for its owners Richard and Shannon, this tiny hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint is the real deal. It offers sandwiches, meats (chicken, brisket, ribs, sausage, chopped beef, ham, or turkey) by the pound or in combination plates, and desserts. From slaw and mac n cheese to peach cobbler and banana pudding, the accompaniments are BBQ classics though you can also get nachos and tacos here too.
I stopped by for a brisket sandwich. At $14 with chips included, it wasn’t cheap, but it was absolutely worth it. For starters, the sandwich was sizeable, a two-hander if there ever was one. It was also very tasty. The moist, smoky brisket was among the best I’ve ever had, and it paired well with pickles and onions. Though the meat delivered plenty of flavor, the housemade sauce added a welcome tang.
R & S may not be as big, as storied, or as well-known as some of Waco’s other BBQ establishments, but if you’re coming for the food above all, you can’t go wrong here.

Stopped in to have some BBQ. This place did not disappoint. Upon entering the restaurant you can smell the mesquite smoke in the air. The owners are nice and the place is very clean. I ordered 2 meat plate with multiple sides. Everything was very fresh and tasted amazing. The food was delicious. I highly recomend this great BBQ spot. 5 stars.
