We loved this place! They were super busy but got us in right away, and all the employees were SO nice. We felt right at home. The sweet girl serving us gave us great recommendations and even recommended a great sriracha aioli sauce.

Food was great, we loved the sweet potato fries. Sandwiches could be a bit bigger but they tasted great!

Definitely recommend!

Great food! Great service! I think there are excellent choices of sandwiches, and ways to customize your burger! I do wish they had a few more vegan choices! But I did have the Technicolor Dreamcoat sandwich which was superb! And easily veganised. Everything was very tasty! They need a bigger place!

I enjoyed the pesto sandwich and the Feta and hummus appetizer. However, the cook was a little heavy handed with the salt that day. Other than that, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Came in during a busy weekday at lunch time. Was able to snag a seat at the bar, though there were many large parties waiting. Got the Eve salad with chicken and kombucha [prickly pear]. Great portion, and very yummy! Will be back again.

Delicious fresh food with a creative menu all the way down to the names of the dishes. The waiters know the menu and seem to enjoy helping guests find what they want. Excellent!

The Old Pestoment is my go-to! The ciabatta bread is perfectly toasted with a nice crunch. A friend got the Caesar salad and said that it was under-seasoned. She had to add a substantial amount of salt and pepper and asked for additional dressing since it only came with one small sauce container. Another friend got the Golden Calf and said that it was quite tasty.

Great sandwiches and burgers at a fantastic location outside the Baylor bubble/downtown. I had the Old Pestoment, which was a good sandwich but not as good as a Schmaltz sandwich (Schmaltz has better bread). The fries were excellent. Will need to return and try the burgers, which the others in my party loved.

Parking: There is not much street parking, but there is a ton of parking behind the building.

Well, here is another restaurant we have driven by many times and never stopped treating. It was a few and far between ability to have lunch together on a workday. We were actually headed to Hotel 1928 to have lunch. As we turned on to Elm Street off of Business 77 (Jasper's BBQ). We both said at the same time, "Let's eat at Revival." After several years of being open, my expectations were high. So we have seen the outside for years, and it's awesome. As we stepped into the restaurant, you can't help but notice how open and clean it is. As my wife said, "it's so cute." I will say I didn't like the chair. It had an awkward fit with the "hips." Since this was our 1st time. Our waiter was patience with us, and he explained the top 4 picks. They gave us ample time for us to pick or order. My wife had the Golden Calf burger with sweet potato fries and I had to build your burger. As seen in the photo, the burger came out stacked high. My wife cut her burger in half. I chose the old man way, I grabbed my burger by 2 hand and forced it into my mouth. It tasted so fresh, better homemade. Everything tasted as they just picked the vegetables, ground the meat, and made your bread. When they say "we source our ingredients locally," it taste that way. See ya soon on the road!

One of our favorite local restaurants. Best burgers in town, and the staff is always kind and friendly. However, if you're in a rush, this may not be the best restaurant. They work as fast as they can, but all food is prepared fresh. When the restaurant is full, your burger can take a little longer. We're okay with longer when it's delicious!

AMAZING!!! Would give more stars if I could! The food was delicious, the atmosphere very nice, the service top notch. Would eat here all the time if I lived in Waco!! 1000/10 would eat here again!!!

Dietary restrictions: GLUTEN FREE INFO:
They did have gluten free burger buns that my sister with celiac said were VERY good! The fries don’t have a designated fryer but they did have other GF options to replace them with, like fruit, veggies, or a salad. They were very good about allergens and took them very seriously, my sister felt safe and confident eating here.

This is my favorite sandwich shop in Waco. The prodigal son is my absolute favorite. I always get the extra added Aioli dip, because it is fantastic. You can even dip your fries in it and it is phenomenal. The cookies are also very different and will leave you craving more.
