Quick stop at in Waco at Magnolia on a roadtrip. Picked up some awesome cupcakes. Great variety, quick friendly service. It's definitely worth the stop and the stores and food trucks make for a beautiful rest stop if you're passing through the area!

We came here on a day trip because my cousin from Hawaii was in town. She was a former baker at the Magnolia in Honolulu, Hawaii. She loved working there, so it was a treat for her to visit where it originated. We bought every kind of their cupcakes and a vanilla bean shortbread cookie. We all took a sample bite of each cupcake. I would have to say the presentation is beautiful. Tasting each one was always delicious. Airy frosting and fluffy cake. Scrumptious and delicious. I wasn't too fond of the shortbread cookie. I don't know. Maybe it's because I like simple shortbread cookies. But it was EDIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE. The interior of this bakery is very rustic country and modern. Reminds me of like old money Hamptions. My cousin who was a former employee said this is the theme country luxury. Very pretty. Outside they have picnic tables to eat at and an entire landscape to explore like a garden, an open park area. Lots of photography opportunities. Love this place!

The line was around the building back to the planter wall. An employee told us it would take about 30 minutes in line, but it was only 15 minutes. Super cute shop. We were given a card and pencil in line to make choices, which helped the line move along! I tried a savory option, the Prize Pig, and it was very tasty. The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie was more crisp than I expected, but tasty. We also tried the GF shortbread and two different cupcakes that were perfectly yummy! Love that their "sprinkles" are sparse! Just enough to add some flair, but keep it simple!

At $4 each, we were disappointed with the cupcakes. The vanilla with buttercream was just okay. The carrot cake was so dry, I took two bites and threw the rest away! Not at all worth the calories! I won’t ever go back.

While we were in East Texas, my wife really wanted to visit Magnolia in Waco, TX and pick up some baked goods at the Silos Bakery. After a three hour drive and standing in line for several minutes, we were disappointed at the quality of the cupcakes we purchased. The cake seemed stale, flavor was lacking, and there was WAY too much sweet and heavy icing on top. It's almost like the emphasis was on presentation only, not flavor too. Now, the staff were very nice and the line moved fairly quickly, but there was a poor gentleman in a wheelchair who was struggling to get into the bakery. He finally had to come in the back door and was still unable to fit his chair in line. I get it, it's a historic building, but a company as large as Magnolia should be forward thinking enough to know that handicapped accommodations is an important part of running a business. We did what we could as customers to help the man, but the staff seemed like they didn't know what to do.

We had to wait to get in. It was worth the wait. It was beautiful inside, just like it looked on the show. We were all excited walking through the door. I was a long-time fan of the show while on HGTV. I purchased a Strawberry and Cream cupcake, sooooo good. I also bought a cinnamon roll for breakfast. My wife bought 2 different cookies. We sat at a table next to a silo enjoying our treats.

My mom and I were so excited to get some baked goods and spent over $100 on a bit of everything. The crumble on top of the blueberry was a super hard thick sugar cookie, the cinnamon roll was tough, the cookies were inedible and the cupcakes were just OK. Needless to say very disappointed and sad to waste all that money. Only thing I would recommend is the croissants...they were delicious.

Extremely cute bakery, great location, competitive prices, and delectable baked goods! This place was a real treat. I stopped in on Wednesday when roaming the Silos. There was a small wait which went fast, but it let me know that weekends here are probably slammed! Parking is a little tough. We parked on the street behind the train track and I do think there was a garage there for public parking. The ordering system is quite simple. You check off your items on a card and hand it to the cashier. Easy as pie. My friend and I got an array of goods. I got the Strawberries and Cream cupcake, Classic Cinnamon roll, and The Prize Pig. DELICIOUS! All amazing. It was a really tough choice! The Prize Pig was my favorite. Cheddary, bacony, buttery biscuit. My friend got the Carrot Cake cupcake and oatmeal cookie. We snacked on these for days!! I wish I lived near here to go back weekly. Make sure you check out Silos Baking!

My wife is a fan of the show Fixer Upper and while in Texas a necessity stop was the Silos in Waco. Our first stop was this bake shop that had a long line outside of it. Upon making the line they handed out a paper menu so you could order while in line. Great idea in speeding things up. We choose the Strawberries n Cream and Lavendar and Lemon cupcakes. We also ordered the chocolate chip cookies, the prize pig biscuit and were sold on the cinnamon rolls as they were fresh out of the oven once we were at the register. We also ordered a Elderflower Lemonade. The cupcakes were simple and moist. I didn't find them out of this world. But sometimes less is more and this is a perfect example of that. As for the chocolate chip cookie, it was really good. Chewy and crunchy at the same time with a good amount of chocolate. Elderflower Lemonade was a small bottle from the fridge. I was expecting something freshly made. But either way it was good. But the highlight was the unexpected cinnamon roll. Wow it was just so fresh and I mean how can you go wrong. It's a cinnamon roll. And I devoured it before I could even blink. They had a very nice outside area to sit and eat. The weather was great but I can see if it wasn't how that could be an issue. Overall it was a great bakeshop which obviously wins from being part of this show.

They were extremely busy however they did not neglect customer service. Very courteous young ladies. Great job of maintaining smiles and moving the line. We tried the lavender lemonade cupcakes. I'm big on icing. My cousin is big on the actual cake. We were both happy. Amazing butter cream icing with just the right hint of lemon. The texture of the cake was good. The cake to icing ratio was perfect. I rate them a four due to my preference for a more moist cake. Overall a good cupcake with yummy icing.

Great sweet treats and pastries. They have a great selection of cupcakes and cookies and bonus points for gluten free and vegan options. The cupcake was better then the cookies. The line is CRAZY long but you get funneled through pretty quickly.

I set my expectations too high! The line goes fast. And the pricing is reasonable! Carrot cake cupcake, I'm not sure how you can get a dry carrot cake anything but it was harder than a rock, same with the almond one that's a spring menu special. The cookies and cream one was more moist and my favorite cupcake. The blueberry muffin had just a flour flavor, not very good and again hard like sat on the counter for 4 days hard. The best thing was the oatmeal cream pie! It ran on the sweet side but the best thing I had from there by far. They should offer milk
