It was okay. The food was good but think we wayyyy overpaid for super small portions. I paid $40 for 6 quesabirria tacos - just the tacos and consommé- from Waycool Taco and my husband paid $16 for a small plate from Blazin Asian that didn’t fill him up. It’s a cool concept, but we expected the prices to be moderate considering it’s supposed to be a food court. We will stick to our normal dine in restaurants.

After a day in Waco at the Cameron Park Zoo with our kids and grandkids on a Sunday, we were looking for a place to eat. We decided to give Union Hall a try because there was so much variety in food options. Great choice! The location is downtown and there is some free street parking and a small lot next to Union Hall that is free, but free parking is limited. There are several paid parking lots across the street that charge $3/hour or $10/day, cash only. The Union Hall layout is interesting with rows of food vendors and tables scattered between them. There are some larger seating areas, and we had no trouble finding a table for 5 adults and 2 children at around 2:30 pm.

So many choices! Here’s a summarized rundown of what we got:
Domo Sushi – Happy Roll and Shrimp Tempura
Armstrong’s Bayou Café – Jambalaya Pasta
Bayou Po’boys – Alligator Sausage Po’boy on French Bread
The Village Pizza-ria – Village Throwback Pizza and Double Pepperoni Pizza
Pupusa Paradise – Watermelon Cup

Bottom Line, no complaints, the food was great. I recommend you try the alligator sausage po’boy if you want something different. The sausage is very good, and it’s a well put together sandwich (the crusty French bread was excellent!). The pizza toppings could have been distributed a little better, but that’s such a minor thing because the pizza was outstanding! Really no negatives for any of the food and we would get them all again, but why would you when there are so many other choices! If you are in Waco looking for something unique and different with a lot of food options, I highly recommend that you go check out Union Hall. It’s worth the stop!

Parking: No where near enough parking. They really need to purchase a space just for Union Parking. 1 handicap parking spot.

Nice variety of food options. The food is average and overpriced compared to what you can get from local restaurants in the area. $10 for a small hamburger with no sides and $9.50 for a beer. Comparable to what you find in a mall food court, just more expensive. Best to go to a local restaurant and get better quality food at a better price.

There are many options to choose from- something for everyone. Lots of seating available. Parking can be tricky, but overall good.

There are SO many options to choose from! And they aren't typical food court options. Sushi, mac and cheese bowls, pho, seafood, Mexican, tacos, and so many different options. I ate at the seafood crab place, and it was DELICIOUS!!! qas it weird eating a crab bag broil in a food court, yes, but i would def do it again. I choose the mild option, and the flavor is THERE! I am from Maryland, so if it's good crab, it's good crab. Plenty of space to walk around and plenty of seating.
