All in all, pretty good!! We had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Catfish Atchafalaya, and Lemon pepper wings, Mad Marry… food came out nice and hot.great flavors on the Catfish Atchafalaya which had fried catfish, crawfish, shrimp over a bed of rice. Would have liked my rice a little firmer but other than that… pretty good! Maddie was our server and she was definitely on point.
2024/02/21 - Let me start off by saying that we came in on a Wednesday and there was hardly anybody in the restaurant.My buddy ordered a tall blue moon with no orange, and I ordered a tall Dos Equis fully dressed. The girl questioned him about no orange, and said that no orange ever comes on a blue moon, which was a sign to him that they don’t know their beer. She said they never put orange on their blue moon… Whatever.About 10 minutes later, a different person brought the drinks. My Dos Equis had salt but no lime so I had to ask for additional limes. Then we placed our supper order…A different person brought our meal out, but it was missing the red beans and rice and he told us that he didn’t know that was part of the order. We later found out this was the manager that was bringing our food out. How does a manager not check and see the order before bringing it out? My blackened catfish Atchafalaya was warm, but not hot-horrible kitchen staff. The red beans and rice tasted like nothing but smoke… Overly smoked or too much liquid smoke.While eating food, the girl came back and we asked for the manager and the gentleman came out who had served us our incomplete order. We told him about the several faults in the meal, and he offered us dessert to try to make us feel better…? As if a free dessert is supposed to make their service better?Not sure what kind of eating establishment they’re running here, but the numerous small mistakes make me never want to come back again.First time and last time coming here

I would come here just for the pickles because they were really thin and so crunchy now they are thick bread and butter. Got the bayou pasta shrimp was great did not eat the pasta had no flavor at all. Waitress did not ask how food was or if I needed a Togo box. I will take my money somewhere

When you can't decide where you want to go to eat Walk-Ons is definitely a great choice...A nice variety of food, a pleasant atmosphere, good service and fair prices...I've eaten here on numerous occasions with a variety of different friends from different parts of the country and can say I've never had a bad meal. Any guests I've taken there has always been impressed also. The appetizers are always hot out of the kitchen, plentiful on the plate, and quite tasty... with the entrees on the menu from the ahi tuna salad, to The Hangover Burger, pasta Alfredo or Cajun ribeye you can't go wrong...Walk-Ons is suitable for friends and families with young children...

Took my wife for Valentine Day dinner! First time here! Vanessa our server was outstanding! Kudos! The food was delivered fast and I was very pleased with the meal. Excellent menu with variety considering it’s Louisiana Cuisine! Very highly recommended for Central Texas. Drove from Temple and it was well worth the trip! ??❤️?

Food was nothing to write home about but not bad. The service was awful in a funny way. Absolutely could not answer a single question about their beers, multiple servers, felt ignored after awhile with still no answers, and never even got one of the dinners ordered until we were leaving. Just seemed like no one knew what they were doing.

Ask for DIANA!Had a great experience here this past weekend. The food was delicious caso dip with house made chips and blue moon on tap was extremely satisfying and refreshing. ALSO sevice is atleast 70 percent of a restaurant experience.The service that Diana provided us was stellar. It's extremely rare to get comparable service these days. Diana was excellent, promt at getting out things that we requested and extremely friendly with unmatched social skills. She made us feel very welcome ! It was a good time .Rare to find in a restaurant post pandemic. Keep up the great work ? We Will be returning!

Sat at bar on Sunday. It was dirty like they didnt wipe it down between guest. Took 5 mins for the bartender to realize we were there and just wasnt very attentive and when we got inside there was not a host seen nor did we notice when they came but it was after we got our water.Food took a long time to come out and maybe 8 other people in the restaurant. But it was hot.I totally get the need to sometimes charge for substitutions but going from corn grits to mashed potatoes when the entree below has the mashed potatoes instead of the corn grits its wild. Substitutions sometime charge but the bartender waitress didnt say anything about there being a charge.I would go back to walkons just never this one.
This place used to be my families go to spot when we stay in Waco, we came in on Friday night and our visit was less than thrilling. Our service was good but the food quality was bad, the fries were rock hard and cold, and new management was rude. Hopefully the new owners can get it together soon, I would hate to see a place like this close.

Service was good, atmosphere was a very chill vide. We went before dinner. Appetizers were amazing. We did get our main dishes to go. And only thing I’m tasty is pepper from the cajun pasta. Don’t feel much like Cajun. Could just be me. But the overload of pepper is wild.
