Lercy's is worth the short drive south from I-10 when you're passing through Winnie, Texas. The people are friendly. The food is hot and fresh, if unsophisticated. I had the chicken fried chicken from the lunch buffet with white gravy, twice-baked mashed potatoes, broccoli-rice casserole and a big piece of jalapeño cheese cornbread. I usually stop here for coffee when I'm passing through on my way to/ from LA, but used to be named something else. The coffee is still great, but getting the coffee and food took a really long time. My daughter and I both ordered the stuffed French toast, it was yummy.

Our family stopped here for lunch on our way to Crystal Beach and I'm so glad we did. My kids had a grilled cheese and a burger cooked to order and my husband and I had two meals off the buffet line. Every single things we ate was truly wonderful. Everybody loved it so much that we made a point of stopping there again on our way home and once again we were not disappointed.
