Stayed here for a quick night from grsnd canyon to zion.Room given to me was very old with heater not workeIng. They placed a personal heater which dries out the air. I was already tired and for the price I think will have to adjust. I will look for some other hotel next time.Rooms: 2/5
DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!If you are looking for the roach motel then this is your place! Room smelled of stale cigarettes, the staff did not clean the room before I got there. I walked in and walked out. I was willing to lose money after stepping for in there.
Good place to stay for the night, classic look and great valueRooms: 5/5
Old motel transformed in a Rbnb. Were in room 14.Very nice bedding soft and cosy.Bathroom door need some adjustment.Owner/Receptionist nice and welcoming, she gave me a cards set as souvenir. We left butter barely used and jelly bought not opened...
For context, as I write this I’ve been camping all around the Southwest for the last week and a motel was sorely needed. That said this place is very lovely, charming, “good vibes” as the sign says. A little rough around the edges so to speak but for a motel in a small desert town, it’s fairly well put together. It has all the basic amenities you need, don’t expect a 4 star hotel. The hostess was very sweet and kind! And for what it’s worth, the beds here are more comfortable than any other motel I’ve been to. If you’re visiting all the nearby National Parks, Monuments and Forests and pass through Kanab, give this place a try
They were affordable and very accommodating when we called to change the number of guests. Geniel at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with everything that we needed. If you are traveling with pets and are on a budget I highly recommend this place. The rooms are cute and comfortable.Rooms: 5/5
This motel was super cute and artsy. Our favorite motel on our road trip! The woman working was very friendly and helped us with restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.
A hidden gem! We enjoyed our stay at Sun N Sand Motel very much. As we venture from coast to coast- exploring along the way, we loved the good vibes alongside the friendly and accommodating staff. We look forward to our next visit.
Very hospitable staff and felt very welcome! Me and my friend are road tripping and traveling can often feel very unsafe but we felt very comfortable here! Highly recommend for any young people looking for an inexpensive and fun place to stay!
Janiel is a pretty solid woman 🙂
Stayed here for four nights after hiking the Arizona Trail. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I got some great recommendations for local hiking trails from the people working here. There are BBQ options in the Yard and nice places to sit.In the morning there are basic breakfast options, and a good, strong coffee. One day, there were homemade chocolate chip cookies!I would book this Motel again!
WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A MOTEL EVER!! FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO STAY. I made a reservation for 5/28. I showed up around 6pm(ish) and no one was in the lobby for a very long time. I waited and waited and no one ever showed up to assist me with getting checked in. Supposedly your reservation has your room number on it and the check-in number. Mine said “#1”. There was no room #1. I was walking around the property after waiting 30min trying to find someone to help and guests started coming out their rooms to see what was going on. No one could find the person who worked there. I tried phoning. No answer. It was embarrassing. After being out in the sun all day, I just wanted to get into my room. Eventually someone found the lady who worked there. I was so turned off by my experience I asked for a refund so I could leave. She said she would re-list it and issue me a refund if someone booked my room. Last night I checked the website and it said no more rooms were available. I’m still waiting on my refund. If she cared about her guests, she would have tried to remedy the situation but she was not apologetic and took no ownership of her actions. If she knew she was going to be gone for a while, she could have called or texted me to let me know my room number or had a phone with her where customers can reach her at if she can’t be at the front desk. This is incredibly poor management in every way and just down right no care at all. I will remove this review if she issues me a refund and makes this situation right. Again, I’ve tried to phone and NO ANSWER.
The room was a bit older but clean. The lady running the office was nice to talk to and she showed me a room with a king size bed right away.Inexpensive older motel in the desert.
Lovely front desk woman allowed for an early check in after having just leaving a camping trip at the dunes. Room very clean and well stocked. Price was extremely affordable. Great customer service!
I love this motel. Very vintage and very affordable. Overall clean and very comfortable beds. Nice mini fridge and microwave. Free wifi! This place has a charm we have lost in our modern society. I love the simplicity of the experience I have had staying here. I will definitely be back.I also loved the sign and the art of the exterior of the building.
