Great place for a great price. Quiet and clean. Good location. The staff is very friendly.There’s central A/C, so you can’t control the thermostat. The fan runs constantly and is loud, which might bother some people. I didn’t mind and it was white noise.

It is hard to get in and out as this is right next to the busiest light in town. The rooms are room down but clean and pets are welcome. The staff seems nice. I can only rate it 3 because it's a bad location.

We arrived late at night and prayed that there would be a room available. Friendly staff. Loved the room, it had what we needed, a bed, a bath and a TV. Very retro 60s feel. Our room had a glass block window which was really cool. It let in plenty of light in the daytime and privacy at the same time. And those sheets!!! We'll be back!!

I needed a simple hotel room in between Gran Canyon North Rim Guide trips. Made my reservation old school on the phone. Service was friendly and offered a good value for a night. As others have said, beds are comfy and WiFi is fast. Check out the Cuban Restaurant across the street for delicious breakfast etc!

Sun-n-Sand Motel, Kanab is an old motel and, looking closely, it is pretty decrepid, needing some TLC. Our room seemed to have the aircon connected to the rooms on either side so that if one room chose cold aircon the other two got it too! We had to move rooms which was allowed without fuss. Good parking is available and the motel's location is close to the town centre. There are more modern offerings in Kanab at competitive prices.

Older motor motel with REALLY REALLY comfortable beds. I do not say that lightly…..I am the proverbial princess and the pea person and I am very critical of most motel/hotel beds. Not only are the beds comfortable but the sheets are as silky and nice as mine at home! Clean and cute with cool rocks and petrified wood staged around the motel. Mini fridge and microwave and outdoor bbq allow you to even cook a meal or two. I called to make a reservation for the same day and the key was waiting under the door mat and our receipt was in the room. Really reasonable price and don’t be afraid by the exterior which actually has its own unique charm. By no means a “fancy” establishment but very comfortable and easy on the budget! Dog friendly and they even had extra blankets to throw over their bedcovers for the dogs to lay on if your dogs like to get on the beds. I wish I had taken some photos of some of the interesting stones and minerals staged around the property but if I ever am back in that area I will be sure to stay there again and get some great photos!

Beds are so comfy!!!! Sheets are soft and smooth, and pillows are fluffy! All the people I came in contact with were wonderful, sweet, and cordial. The room was a little small, but so clean and cozy we didn't notice. It was a perfect place to stay on our drive to Vegas! Fast WiFi also.

Stayed here for a quick night from grsnd canyon to zion.Room given to me was very old with heater not workeIng. They placed a personal heater which dries out the air. I was already tired and for the price I think will have to adjust. I will look for some other hotel next time.

If you find yourself in Kanab, whether it be a Ross trip, Antelope canyon, Zion or one of the many other reasons, this place is really a great bang for your buck. My husband and our two dogs wanted to break up our road trip from Idaho, normally a 13 hour drive, we figured breaking it up would be nice. I booked this place last minute and it really was everything that we needed! Don't go in expecting luxury, it's a retro motel, with comfortable bed, roomy space, reserved parking and near all the things you could need. Little bit dated, but very clean and well maintained, not to mention dog friendly! We didn't get to check out anything other than our room, but it was easy enough, self check-in and slept great. Definitely will keep on our list if we're looking to make a pit spot again.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!If you are looking for the roach motel then this is your place! Room smelled of stale cigarettes, the staff did not clean the room before I got there. I walked in and walked out. I was willing to lose money after stepping for in there.
