For my wedding I ordered a charcuterie board for 230 people and it was beautiful. Everyone loved it. However, I also ordered 150 beef sliders and they did not meet my expectations. I wanted gourmet cute little sliders and got lunchroom cafeteria quality. Working with the staff was easy. They were kind and helpful. Maybe not very experienced, though. I would use 53 Catering again, but would want to make sure I was supervising and telling them exactly where everything should go. (I was busy doing other things and didn’t see where they set up the food and drinks. It wasn’t where I wanted it to be, but if I had been there every thing would have been fine)

We loved having 53 catering as part of our wedding team. From the start at the tasting we could tell they knew what they were doing. Megan was very responsive and helped answer all our questions throughout the process. They offered a variety of packages which allows the flexibility to keep within budget needs. Their food was amazing and they worked with us to ensure all of our needs were met. We had 53 catering cater the apps, the plated dinner as well as the dessert buffet. During the wedding their staff was also very professional, ensured all the guests got their correct entree, and asked if there was anything else they could grab. We loved they offered passed apps during our cocktail hour to allow our guests to mingle while the room was flipped for the reception. After dinner their team ensured everything was clean and put away which allowed us to be compliant with the venue's policy. I cannot say enough good about this catering service! Megan arranged our wedding luncheon with some special accommodations. It was PERFECT!! We asked for homemade orange rolls. Yum!! A hot chocolate bar - with all the trimmings! Chicken Cordon Bleu with garlic mashed and variety vegetables. They were huge servings and homemade everything! Perfect gourmet meal! Thank you for everything! You were great to work with and made the day perfect in every way!

Had a bad experience hiring 53 Catering for my backyard wedding of 100 guests. The waiters were not following direction, extremely slow, not refilling drinks, we had people who had to get up and go fill water for themselves. We got 5 waiters based on what was recommended but it turned out being a disaster, as my mom, bridesmaids, mother in law, and other aunts and cousins had to get up and start serving at our wedding because the waiters were a bunch of kids who couldn’t keep up and didn’t take it seriously.

We hired 53 catering for a small event (50 people). I checked in the day of the event to make sure the food would be delivered by 6pm. I was told yes. At 6:05pm, as guests started arriving, I tried calling and got a voicemail box. I called several times and texted the number I had and got no response over and over. The food did not show up until 6:25pm (almost a half an hour late) and I didn’t get an apology or a reason whatsoever. The food was ok, nothing great. I was very disappointed in my experience with 53 catering. I would not recommend them and I am grateful my event was small. I can’t imagine if it had been a big event...I would have been so stressed out!
We hired 53 Catering for dinner during our family reunion in Midway — 13 adults and 12 little people. Great food, on time, friendly service, adjusted menus for plant-based people, priced reasonably. We’ll choose 53 Catering again next year!

We used 53 catering for our backyard wedding on very short notice. They were very responsive via email and great to work with. Their pricing is great as well for the amount of food you get. Plus their food is delicious! We went with the farmer's market menu and have no regrets. The lady who came to the house (I did not get her name, but she was awesome!) was so kind and she even boxed up all the food into meals at the end of the night. We will definitely be using these guys again for our future events!
