I feel bad for the cook, but she painted the image of a pupusas with cheese/lorroco , and chicharrón. Maybe that is the portions that the owner tells her to put into them and then charged me more than $ 3.00 for using my debit card. First and last time I come here.

The pupusas were delicious! I had one of each. The revuelta was my favorite! My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening. They had plenty of space and seating for parties of any size. When friends ask about Pupusas in SLC I will always recommend El Viroleño.

Told the waitress my shrimp was undercooked and she just ignored it. Make sure if you order pupusas you add cheese if not they won't add any. Drinks where alright. Atmosphere was alright. The food did take a while to come out but didn't mind. Wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer so the shrimp was edible.

Great food, chill environment, good service. Glad we found this place on the way to a concert.

Simple comida Salvadoreños Pupusas de queso HorchataMy assistant had the garlic shrimp and was solidly happy! Quesadilla de pan para llevar! Shared with backstage coworkers at coffee break

My visit to El Viroleño was an unfortunate disappointment. The lackluster pupusas, indifferent service, and uninspiring ambiance (little dirty) left me with a negative impression. I would strongly advise against dining there and suggest exploring other restaurants for a more satisfying and authentic Salvadorean culinary experience.
It wasn't good, the pupusas it taste lake not cooked and the place look old,!the parking was small, not recommended!!!

Food was great and inexpensive. Will definitely be added to my list of hidden gems in the west part of the city. Excited to try the rest of their menu items. Pupusas are delicious thick corn tortillas stuffed with varieties of meats and or cheeses. Definitely recommended for anyone that wants to try and expand their food horizons.Parking: Approximately fewer than 6 on the frontage road.

Not good at all I was craving pupusas and reason I went here cause the place I go was closed early on a Sunday. there’s hardly any filing in they’re dry with no taste not coming back and the lady that attended me was not welcoming bad service also.

Food was ok, but it took 25 minutes to come out and it was cold. It was authentic, but my friend from El salvador has made it so much better and he's no cook. The place was clean and cozy, however the service was just ok, besides taking a long time, we were never asked how anything was and we had to wait a couple minutes both to order and to pay even though we were only one of 4 tables with people. I would say overall it's ok but way overpriced.

Seriously the most delicious pupusas. When we went, I think they only had two staff but we didn't wait long for food. They may seem distant but they're very nice people and the food is so worth it. The pupusas come out hot, a little crispy, and so good.
The pupusa dough needs a little salt, ☆☆☆
