Loved the Tin Angel when it was on 400 S across from Pioneer Park. Now at the Eccles Theater. Made reservations online for dinner before Wicked. We arrived early and were immediately seated. The food was great, and themed drinks for the show was a fun touch. Loved the convenience of parking once for the evening. (hint: Capital grill offers valet just around the corner.)

Been here a couple times. Great experience both times. The wait staff was amazing. Food was delicious. Very convenient for going to see a show in the Eccles theater.
We had dinner at the Tin Angel on March 29, 2025. We ordered the Shepherds Pie and the Niçoise salad. The salad came without the fingerling potatoes, a key ingredient of that salad. After inquiring with the kitchen, the server informed us they had run out of them. She apologized and said she would charge us the “discounted price”. The bill came and did not contain the discount as promised. We were in a rush to get to a show and didn’t have time to have the server adjust the bill, so we left somewhat disappointed. If a dish is to be prepared differently than how it is advertised, the customer should be informed. Although the Shepherds Pie was quite good, the salad without the potatoes wasn’t right. I’d also recommend a higher standard dress code for the staff. Eccles is a nice theater. Old jeans and tee shirt don’t fit the venue.
Amazing experience Friendly staff
Sourdough pancakes were to die for. However, the whites on my over-easy egg weren't completely cooked.
I am shocked at the 4 and 5 star reviews. I will NEVER go there again. The entree prices are $35 plus. There are only about 4 entrees to choose from. I went had Shepherds Pie. It comes with mostly gravy small frozen vegetables. Excellent meat, but not much of it. I dont know what to call the crust on the bottom of the stew. It was un unedible hard as concrete slab of pie crust?? Could only be cut with much effort and not chewable. Served with no sides what so ever, no bread, nothing, unless you pay a lot more for salad or bread. A soda will cost $5. The service is very good and someone at.the restaurant went way out of her way to accommodate my friend with a gift card she had won, since hers never showed up in the mail. She printed her a new one and told.her to just shred the one that comes in the mail. You would need to order.a lot of 🍸 drinks to believe the food is good or fairly priced. If you come to drink, the menu for alcohol is extensive, but the menu for food is very limited.
Look, it just over priced for what it is
My friend and I had the Curry chicken lettuce wraps they were delicious and not bad of a price. The service was really great and very helpful

Had dinner before seeing Ms. Doubtfire, the service was really prompt. Was brought out water immediately and seated, in addition to that was asked what I wanted to drink and if I was ready to order. I asked about some of the foods. Ended up ordering the Lamb Chops and a bowl of Soup to start. Both were delicious and ended with Bread pudding.
It was convenient as had a show right after so just head upstairs and they were moments from opening the doors for the show, so great service and timing was quick. I figure I'm paying for the convenience, so I don't have to go elsewhere and it's great.

First time here for the Hamilton showing and it was a wonderful experience! Natalie my waitress was super sweet and took very good care of me as I was dining in. I got their chicken piccata, their bread pudding, and one of their cocktail specials. All really delicious and the atmosphere was really amazing! Really hope to come back again for another Broadway show!

I want to start with the fact that the Tin Angel is a charming restaurant, and it's conveniently located inside the theater. However, the food is pricey for what you get...the charcuterie board lacked some important elements and seemed sparse for the $23 price tag. I would have enjoyed having some spreadable cheese and jam or mustard to enhance what was nothing more than chunks of cheese on dry crackers. Also, it seemed strange to have no olives. These are not expensive additions, and they would have made the charcuterie board feel a lot more "substantial," in my opinion. The drinks were nice, if pricey, and the desserts were delicious. However, the service was on the slow side, and we had to wolf down our desserts to get to our seats before the show, despite arriving at the restaurant 90 minutes before the curtain. With some small tweaks, the Tin Angel at the Eccles could be greatly improved. However, with the price of a charcuterie tray, a chickpea and cauliflower curry appetizer, four drinks, and two desserts coming in at $150 including tip, the value just wasn't there.

Expected a much nicer experience than what we received. Had drinks and appetizers before Hamilton. The drinks were fine but small and pricey. The charcuterie board was not good... very little effort put into it and it was missing some of the items you usually see on one, like olives, stone ground mustard, maybe some jam. Without those items, this was a dry plate of crackers, cheese, and salami with a few sad grapes and nuts for $23. Yikes. My friend thought the cauliflower and chickpeas appetizer was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the curry and slightly difficult to eat -- why not blend this to make it more of a dip for the pita?
Dessert (bread pudding and lemon cake) was decent and the only reason I could honestly give 3 stars for the food instead of 2.
Tables are way too close together for an enjoyable experience, and service seemed a bit negligent (maybe tired at the end of the weekend). Overall, the convenience of eating here before a show doesn't seem worth the price of the lackluster food and atmosphere.

I had a relatively good experience here tonight. The service was great. I love servers who are attentive and friendly. I do have complaints, though. First, I was disappointed by the size of the menu items. They only offer four entries...so not a lot to choose from. Second, I ordered lamb chops, and there was just too much fat on the bone. I certainly do not have a problem paying higher prices for quality meat, but for meat, not fat, even though fat helps the meat taste better. Just a little frustrating.

Boulange Benedict(with ham on toasted sourdough) were EXCELLENT. Ultra thin fried potatoes, small salad. Mmmm.Quiche Lorraine had super creamy custard and dry, flaky crust with potatoes and small salad.Side of bacon (5 slices), cooked perfectly.Take home box... Plenty of food.Very fast, friendly service. But it is right downtown, 231 S Main, with parallel parking. ☹️
