Great place for a drink and some unique and fun atmosphere. This is a bar so 21 and older. Food was excellent and the whiskey even better. Huge selection of spirits and beer. I ordered the grilled cheese 10/10 and my friend got the salmon she said 10/10. I put 4 stars since I couldn’t get my drink on the rocks like I asked twice. Would have been 5 otherwise.
The name says it all. What a spot for whiskey lovers! The walls are covered in all types of alcohol to try. The bartenders all seem to have a love for mixing up something fun as well. We’ve been here many times when visiting from San Diego and it’s just a place people gravitate to. Last night we watched the Padres beat the Dodgers here and enjoyed a nice dinner.I always get the steak salad. It’s a huge portion. Last night my husband tried the special - it was a home made pasta with chicken pesto. It sounds basic but it was so good!!
Interesting place with a cool history. Lots of good spirits on the menu. We had the salmon and the ahi. Both were delicious.
Love at first bite. This was the first place I wanted to try for my first time in the area. It has everything I love, bourbon and meat. I had the bourbon and coke meat loaf. It was incredible! The portion was perfect and it left you full but not bloated. We also had a few appetizers that were just as good as the main course. We had cheese curds, the Carmel bourbon popcorn and deviled eggs. These were gone fairly quick and we wished we had more. They have a vary wide selection of alcohol to choose from but I had to go with the house old fashion. The bartender definitely knew what they were doing as it was one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a low key upscale meal that'll make you want seconds!
I literally stumbled upon this restaurant! And I can't tell you that I am so happy I did!! The atmosphere was speakeasy- ish.. which is always a great vibe. If you've never been to utah (as this is my first time) they require you to show your ID when going into a restaurant that serves alcohol.. no matter your age!! Kind of a trio actually.. Once inside you're greeted with the walls of whiskey!! And the awesome mixologists.. I asked my server for their signature cocktail - the rotisserie inn- named after the establishment that was here 100 years ago.. I also ordered the crab Louis salad and the brisket dip! Delicious and flavorful! Clark my server was really attentive and provided excellent service!! If you're in Downtown Salt lake I highly recommend you give this a go!!
We were in SLC for a weekend and ate here twice, it was so good! We had very nice servers, Madison and Tauni. The food was so good I wish this was closer to home so we could try other menu items. I loved the rise and shine drink and have since tried to recreate it at home but it's not the same
Great food and atmosphere. Drinks were great. We didn't have to wait long for a table and we were able to have a drink while we waited. Waitstaff was lovely. Food was outstanding.
What a great place to eat, we had the bourbon Carmel corn and curried cashews with Moroccan spiced pecans and peanut appetizers. They were very flavorful, the curried cashews were not really hot just great flavor. I had the braised short rib grilled cheese with truffle fries and smoked ketchup. In the top 5 best grilled cheeses I have ever had. My wife had the Tasso chicken club which she really enjoyed. To top everything off we had a great bartender/waiter (Chris) that took great care of us. He made a mean western nail. I would highly recommend this place.
Best selection of whiskey and bourbon in Salt Lake City and awesome staff. We’ve been here a few times and always like coming back. Tonight we had the Rhetoric, a Gin based drink that was super delicious, and an Old Fashion with High West Double Rye…perfection. Also had a Smoking Gun with Longbranch that was smoked. I’m not a big fan of smoked drinks, but this one finishes really smooth. If you’re interested in learning about whiskey or bourbon and want to try entry or the very top shelf, this is the place to go!
I was buy myself and sat at the bar. The brisket dip was great, and the deviled eggs were outstanding.
A very weird vibe here at whiskey street. It's like if you took all the cringy "Bougie" alcoholics of utah and put them in one place. Service is good. Big menu. Food is barely below average.
AMAZING is an understatement! Such a great vibe and the food was phenomenal. We were greeted with a great big smile from the hostess, and seated at a high top with a great view of their immaculate bar! Our waitress Tauni was thee best! She was so accommodating and pleasant. Compliments to the chef!! I ordered the Blackened Ahi Tuna. Wow wow wow! Perfectly seared and the flavors are out of this world! It has a smokey and it actually tasted like there was bacon but there wasn't! The polenta was perfect along with this huge fried pepper that will forever be in my taste buds memory! This was my first time in Utah, and when I come back this will be a for sure stop while I'm town.
Best experience I've had in Utah besides my best friends wedding and the incredible Bridal Falls!! Best food and environment in the city By Far! Our waitress Tauni was EPIC!! So Swagggy and fun! Gave us the Best Items on the menu for sure to try! I haven't been this satisfied in a long time! This was definitely the perfect way to end our Utah trip! Thank you to Whiskey Street Staff and the Chefs for the BEST MEAL EVERRRRRR!!!
This is what a whiskey bar is supposed to be! A big wall with every whiskey on the planet, an extensive menu with unique, interesting, delicious cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Wish I could make this place my go-to hangout, alas I'm just traveling through.
As frequent travelers were always on the lookout for great food in local spots. Amid all the top reviews for other restaurants whiskey street popped up and looking at the pictures, seeing the vibe and the drink/food menu we made a beeline from the airport. We were welcomed right in to a place reminding us of old historic bars in many of the great cities (NY, SF, Boston) and had a hard time making menu selections. We leaned towards ordering several appetizers a few local beers and a sandwich. If you love unique preparations to traditional favorites get the poutine - it was the most elevated version of a personal favorite we have ever experienced (see pictures) Would go again if we ever came back to town.
