I went there alone to have hot pot. The zone I sit has about 6-8 tables. I was the first table. After the next table was seated and the server guy served other table, EVERY TIME he rest the food on my table and other staff see that, but no one does anything. That is so ruined.
I did complain at the end and got 10% discounts. Otherwise I just realized that when it happened, other staff seen it, but no one do anything on that behavior. If I didn’t say anything, they would let it go. They give me the discount just because I complained but they don’t care.

Ombu has a great lunch offer for both the BBQ and Hot Pot. There is lots of fun meat and veggie options for the hot pot which was tasty. The grill options are also very good. The beef bulgogi is fantastic on the grill. Overall, it was a great experience.

Tipping culture at all the Ombu locations is very strange they expect you to tip them what they want and when you don’t they get upset at you this is like this at each location and it’s becoming more and more of a problem and service is very very slow not worth the price for the hot pot

We got BBQ here and loved it!! You order on the iPad at your table and the food comes out super quickly. You cook it there at your table. You’re able to go grab food from the buffet, but most of it is food for the hot pot. Everything we had here was super good.
The staff was very kind and friendly.
My one slight drawback was that the bathrooms weren’t super clean or tidy.
I would definitely come here again!

This is one of the best-kept culinary secrets in the District! Granted- it's fairly new, but the friendly service, freshness and variety of the selection all make for a wonderful, EXCELLENT value meal for the experience. The iPad menus at each table make ordering more hot entrees a breeze, the spread is quality, and they have a great variety of broths for the hot pot dining.
I've loved eating Asian hot pot style in most Asian countries, and this was as authentic as it gets! The kimchi fried rice is superb, and the meat cuts are top tier. Highly recommend most of the hot dishes, and they even have chicken nuggets for the kids or the less-adventurous palettes.
Would probably skip the mochi and the bibimbop, but some might enjoy. The wait staff is so fast and attentive. Definitely will be returning soon!
