This was my 1st time at JJ's restaurant...the food was absolutely amazing..from the appetizer to the entrees ..finished with cheesecake desert..to the blackberry tea..I was introduced to the owner by a precious friend..great personality..he and his wife trully have a hidden gem with their restaurant..well worth the detour if you are traveling or live or near Abingdin Virginia..
Been to JJs almost every night while in town for over a week. Their food and service is superb, the description is completely true. You can tell the staff puts care and effort into everything here. I tried the Swordfish Neptune, one of their weekend specials, which was excellent and cooked perfectly. From personal experience the burgers, wings, chicken tenders and drinks are all good. Jojo and Steve are awesome bartenders and the rest of the restaurant staff is super friendly and will strike up a conversation with anyone.Enjoy!!Parking: Haven’t had trouble parking at allKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly, just a bit loud with music and conversationWheelchair accessibility: It appears guests with wheel chairs could enjoy the restaurant

I've been to JJ's a few times to eat with the family and to just have a guys night out with my grandson and it's a very good place to eat. They have an awesome chicken liver dinner that's served with tomato jam to dip the livers in that can't be beat. And their portobello mushroom burger is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The service is great, the prices aren't bad,and the food is awesome! So if you've never eaten at JJ's,do it,you won't regret your decision!!They have handicap parking right up front I normally use.One thing though, they can get crowded quickly because their food is so good! They also have a very good kid friendly menu.
This is our go-to when we visit Abingdon. Food is always great. The service is topnotch!Vegetarian options: Grilled veggie without cheese and mayo with fries.

Typical bar restaurant atmosphere. This place was recommended by several folks, but we were a little disappointed with the food. The wings were good, but the potato salad was bland and not good at all.It was just very basic food, but the prices were on the higher side for sure. Also, the booth we sat in wasn't nailed down to the floor, so it made it a little weird getting in and out of the booth. The service was prompt, and our waitress was friendly. She replaced the potato salad with coleslaw, which was better. We probably won't be back.
