We were looking for somewhere to eat with the family and decided to come here due to the reviews. THEY WERE RIGHT! This place was so good with some of the best pizza and garlic knots I’ve ever had. The cheese sticks and salads were also great! We will come back from Knoxville just to eat here again. The owner also came out to thank us for trying them which was a nice touch. Thanks so much!

Service was fine. Didn't go without anything we needed. More of a diner service feel than a sit down italian restaurant. Started with garlic knots, they were just stuffed yeast rolls but still tasty. The cheese inside of them wasn't all the way melted. Then my salad came, standard bagged iceberg lettuce with some cheap Shredded cheese on top. Dressing not homemade. The pasta was definitely homemade, but mostly ruined by a large ladle of oddly spiced watery tomato sauce. Wife's ravioli were also homemade, but we paid an extra 3$ for "creamy sauce" that was just that spiced tomatoe sauce with a dash of heavy cream. Decided that maybe pasta wasn't there thing and ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza to go. Unseasoned chicken breast, with unseasoned Alfredo sauce, on a really well baked and proper dough. Ratings do not match what we experienced. Place wouldn't make it a year in a town any larger than this. Do not recommend for tourists/travelers.

Best Italian food we’ve ever had!!I personally had the fettuccine alfredo, which was excellent. My mother had one of the house specialties (began with far-, but did not catch the rest of the name) and LOVED it. Our table also had a BBQ Chicken pizza which my boyfriend stated was by far the best pizza he has ever had (and for what it’s worth, he eats pizza several times a week).The salads were super fresh and were served with tasty ranch!!We all shared garlic knots and fried pickles which were both absolutely amazing as well!!Vegetarian options: They had various vegetarian and gluten free options.

5 stars across the board for this place! Had the Stromboli and it may have been the best I’ve ever had! Service was fast and very friendly, the atmosphere was homey and comfortable, public parking right across the street, and the prices were very reasonable! I’ll definitely be stopping again if I find myself near that area!

This was our second visit because we remembered really liking it the first time. We were not disappointed. I had the ravioli made with their award-winning dough. The tomato sauce was very nice too. Then I topped it off with tiramusu for dessert. Next time, I will ask for half of my ravioli to start in a take-home box and also half the tiramisu in a take-home box. That is the only way to make sure I don't forget to stop eating before I am stuffed. My husband, who is avoiding carbs right now, had chicken wings, which he raved about, as well. The service is amazing, and the visit from the owner made us feel like family. I think he visits everyone who comes in. Such a sweet dining experience. Thank you.

Everything I have ordered from Mama Mia's has always exceeded my expectations. The garlic knots are the BEST I have ever had! The owner genuinely cares about his customers, and quality of food. Staff is always efficient and very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and decor is amazing. Very cozy. I highly recommend!

Old school feel Italian restaurant! Just off of Main St in Abingdon, VA. They have all booths and have a large booth for seating 7-8 people. They also take reservations, which is a helpful feature. I had the Mamma Mia pizza. The small is 10 inches and could be shared if you have a small appetite or if you paired it with a salad. It was similar to a Margherita pizza and was delicious! My husband and son got steak calzones and really liked those as well. My daughter got the Stromboli, and it left her too stuffed to eat dessert. My daughter in law got the homemade manicotti. Her grandmother got the baked spaghetti, which was very saucy and not dried out like a lot of places. The absolute best thing I ate was the garlic knots! They were full of cheese and baked perfectly. I would travel the hour back to Abingdon just for those garlic knots. The best I've ever had!! They played old rock videos and had pics of Sinatra and the like around the place. The owner came out to check on us as well and made his rounds with the customers. We will definitely be back to eat again soon!

Disturbingly disgusting food. I couldn't finish my meal nor could I stomach even one bit of my partners dish. Nice waitress and a clean establishment - but I do not recommend eating here. Ever. $70 for lunch for two people.
