Place is full of surprises! Awesome food, live music, place for kids to play (gigantic sand box w toys), outdoor covered seating, indoor seating, access to the river, hammocks on the river, cornhole, secondary outdoor bar on the river, and....you know what I'm done writing. Im going back now, bye.

Loved our stop off at Brewing Tree Beer Company! Super kid friendly! Our boys, 9 and 11, loved skipping rocks on the creek below! I really enjoyed the grape sour beer. Will be back during our stay!

We stopped there after backpacking in Shenandoah National Park and couldn’t have hoped for a better pit stop. The beer was great and the food delicious - had the burger and demolished it. The atmosphere is magical and they have a second bar by the river. Highly recommend!

We love a brewery that is just a brewery! Awesome venue with seating indoors, on the deck, in the yard & down at the river. Returned a second time on the weekend when they also had music outdoors. Spent the afternoon by the river where our corgi played nonstop. Great brews also had Sour Grapes a very enjoyable sour. Great food truck too!

The space was clean and open. The decor was warm and modern. There is a large outdoor area with plenty of seating and a couple of fire pits. The creek adds nice ambiance in the lower level outdoor space. The beer is good and varied. The food truck is so good. The indoor space is a little small, larger groups (10+) would take over the space pretty easily.

This place is awesome. From the main road, it doesn't look like much, but it's really nice. The main building is very open and clean with seating nicely spaced out. There is a "food truck" permanently attached to the front of the building which everyone seemed to enjoy. We didn't try the food, but it smelled delicious. They have a large porch and outside seating area with sandboxes for kids and a stage. The real prize is the lower tier with a second bar down by the river that you can't see from the road. Both areas offer great natural views. This brewery really embraces the natural landscape. The bartenders were very upbeat, charismatic and friendly. They'll make recommendations based on your preferences. My friend and I had some flights. The four beers I tried were very nice. The Vienna Lager and Irish Red were my favorites. Each beer I tried had a distinct flavor profile. Nothing felt generic or derivative. This is a really nice place to hang out. If we weren't "brewery hopping", we'd probably have spent the whole day here. In terms of beer selection, beer quality and overall ambience, The Brewing Tree is up there with the more "commercialized" Devil's Backbone brewery down the street. I highly recommend Brewing Tree. You're in for a pleasant surprise.

Try the Belgian Farmhouse, Irish Red or the Blood Orange! All delicious. There's a great sandbox for kids, they can also splash in the creek while parents keep a watchful eye from the hammocks. There were food trucks serving sandwiches and another with oysters. The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly.

Had a wonderful time here on the way through town. We stopped at about four or five breweries while we were in this part of VA, and this had the best beer and vibes.Seriously, though. Each brew was unique, but all done very well. They even canned some beers for me on the spot. Everyone was very kind and fun, too. Wish I could have stayed all weekend.

Went there today and had the bbq wings with “ranch” dipping sauce from their food truck. The sauce had raw garlic in it, which I didn’t discover until later when I started having extremely bad reactions from it, as I’m allergic to raw garlic!! I called to speak to a manager to let them know about this/make a complaint. Jessica answered the phone, I explained the situation to her and she said she’d have to get a manager. She didn’t cover the phone very well and I could hear everything she said. She called out for Derek, who I presume is a manager. She told him a lady was on the phone to make a complaint on the food she had today and asked what to do. Derek instructed her to make a note of it and she then said “and throw it away?” Laughing while she said it!! She then got back on the phone and pretending to care and said she’d take a note and pass it along to the food manager! This goes way below inappropriate, unprofessional, insensitive and extremely poor customer service!! They should be ashamed of themselves and Derek and Jessica should be fired!!
