This is our favorite sushi place in Old Town. Have been coming here since they opened maybe five years ago. The owner used to be a sushi chef at MoMo Sushi, which used to be our local favorite. His sushi here has consistently been top quality whereas we were disappointed with quality once or twice at MoMo and its always too cramped. We usually get the sushi combo.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables online. We picked it up 15 minutes later. Food was incredibly good quality and value. Thank you for a great meal!

The sushi is simply ok here. Had the New York Roll and the Tri-Color roll. Both were pretty good. Has the miso soup as an appetizer, but the soup was lukewarm and flavorless. Also the wasabi that came with my sushi had no heat at all, like it was just green colored paste. Service was good, but the sushi overall was just ok. The rolls themselves tasted good but a good wasabi is necessary to complete the experience.

Favorite Japanese restaurant. Their sushi is the best. Fish is always so fresh. Service is good too. I also like ordering lo mein with extra shrimp. It’s a delicious large plate of noodles with a ton of shrimp. It’s enough for 2 meals for me. Highly recommend this place.

I would never trust any review for Alexandria location. This place is chinese owned japanese restaurants. Fishes were not fresh and portion is too small for the price. I ordered sushi for 2 and thai mango chicken. They charge for the rice when you change from white rice to brown rice ($2)

The service, the atmosphere and the place are quite good. What was not pleasant was the Food, I ordered three different dishes and unfortunately I had no luck with any of them. Some were very spicy and they didn't say they were spicy. I ordered some sushi rolls that didn't taste like anything. I had an absolutely watery miso soup… Anyway, they definitely need to improve the food!

Great sushi spot in old town, be sure to give it a try. Our friend suggested we try this place out for lunch and it exceeded expectations. The service was excellent and the food is even better. I can’t wait to go back!

The food at his place is amazing, the flavors and the presentation are 10/10, the place isn't fancy, and actually don't try to be. Maybe I modified that and added some amenities to the place.

Below average Asian food. Very mix of stereotypical pan Asian list of food - mix of sushi, curry and fried rice. Weird, no real mastery of specific cuisine. Won’t visit again.

Ordered chicken dumplings and sweet and sour chicken via Grubhub. Fast delivery, driver was polite, and order was well protected. Noticed online prices were higher than those if you dine-in. But still pretty good food.

Ate a late lunch with my son. I usually go to other sushi places, but they all close from 2:30 to 5. Kisso was the first place I found open all afternoon. Turns out they serve off of the lunch menu until 3. Also turns out the food, service, and atmosphere were top notch. I have no issues recommending Kisso.

Fantastic experience, with extremely attentive and good service. The food was very reasonably priced, especially considering that it was all extremely high quality. From sushi rolls to soups, bento, and nigiri, we enjoyed everything that was ordered and absolutely plan to be back soon! Also, the new takoyaki appetizer is delicious.Parking: Limited street parking, you'll probably have to walk a few blocks.

I went here for the first time with friends on New Year's Eve without reservations. The wait was not more than 10 minutes. The atmosphere was electric, the service great, and the sushi "Love Boat" fantastic! We had a great time and will definitely be back ASAP!
