This was just ok. Very deceiving, it is advertised as a creole restaurant but I have eaten new Orleans food and this is not even close. The best dish was the haddock and the fried oyster appetizers. Too pricey for the

RT's is a neighborhood treasure. I have been going off and on for years but have been twice in 2 weeks because the flavors are amazing. The crab and crawfish imperial is to die for. I wanted to try something different last night but could not imagine watching someone else enjoy my favorite dish. The she crab soup could use a bit of lump crab for texture but was good. Everything coming from the kitchen looked amazing. Can't wait to go back again.

Our food was excellent. The service was just OK. We were the only ones in the restaurant initially and then some crowds arrived. Service was choppy sometime the server was busy talking with her colleagues. Other time she was attentive. And server made mistake on order. But she was gracious about changing out the cocktail. My wife had the baked shrimp and I had the stuffed flounder. Both were excellent. the oysters three-way were OK. The salad was ordinary. The pecan pie was not so good. I was encouraged to try the rum soaked coconut cake. I should've got that instead.

After reading reviews, my wife and I had the Jack Daniel's app, I had the Dead by Gumbo and my wife had the Chicken Creo. Everything was super tasty, we split a bottle of fairly price wine. Service was super friendly and attentive. No room for dessert. Only draw back was the birthday party next us was loud but the left early. Highly recommend.

Went with a group of 11. Table was ready right on time, the food and service far surpasses excellent. We and our friends had a great reunion, and RT's made it happen. RT's is my favorite restaurant in the DC area. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Two great meals in one week at RT's. Loved the crawfish etouffe, the shrimp and grits, and the Jack Daniels shrimp. Our servers were wonderful both times. It had been years since we've been here--but will be back again soon!

RT's never disappoints. The food is outstanding for its preparation, presentation and authentic Creole taste. The service was excellent The prices very reasonable, particularly compare to other restaurants of the same quality. It is no wonder that RT's has been there for decades.

We love this restaurant! There is absolutely nothing on the menu that we haven't tried and each dish is exceptional. We are so happy to live only a short ten- minute ride from this neighborhood gem. There aren't enough adjectives to describe the food, service, and welcoming atmosphere.

RT's is our go-to restaurant for delicious creole food at a good price. The offerings are always hard to choose from, but we try to choose before we arrive...then they have the specials and you throw your previous choice out and go with one of the specials! You can't go wrong either way! You always receive a generous portion of food no matter what you order. We frequent RT's several time a year (It is a trek from our house) but we have never had bad service. All of the wait staff are friendly and do their jobs well. This visit, we ordered Chicken and Cormeaux Andouliie Gumbo (to die for!!), Smothered Catfish (It is "smothered" with etouffee'!), Oysters Rockefeller (My favorite ! Best anywhere!), and Oysters Nezpique (Maryland fried oysters covered with a crab etouffee'). Everyone was more than pleased with their food choice. Give RT's a try. You won't be disappointed!

Great food and service. Brought new-to-the-area neighbors who were happy to add RT's to their dining options. Appreciated the back-office research that retrieved the remaining balance of our misplaced gift card!!!

I think the food is overall fairly good. It very much depends upon what is ordered and I believe that the kitchen may have been overly taxed with the back to back celebrations of Mardi Gras and Valentine's Day. My crawfish etouffée was not bad, i.e., the crawfish was fine but the sauce was bland and gelatinous like an old congealed gravy. Neither piquant nor creamy in texture and without any flavor of crawfish - suggesting that they were cooked separately. A noticeable oddity was that the black patrons were ALL seated toward the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and restroom. It looked very Jim Crow in the dining room. Hard to think it was random.

The food was delicious as always and the ambiance was great for Valentine's Day. It's a small place so some tables seemed to be placed in odd places but I guess they were trying to get as many people in as possible. Thankfully, we had an 8pm reservation so it wasn't as crowded. RTs is one of my favorite quaint restaurants. It never disappoints.

Was the perfect Valentine's location. It delivers as promised. The decor, food, service and ambiance are stupendous. I'm greatly looking forward to my next opportunity to dine there again.
