Definite potential. Service is good and a nice atmosphere. I went here as my wife met with a friend for dinner. The place was close and looked promising so I checked it out. I started with fried green tomatoes, which were good but I think the batter wasn’t fully cooked through. But I would order again. For my main meal I had the Charleston chicken, which was a solid choice. Well priced, tasty, and filling. Finally, I closed my meal out with the key lime pie, which was great. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves your visit.

First time here. Met a friend for lunch. They have free parking behind the building, huge plus for this area. Inside, nice bar area. Also a separate equally nice dining area. We sat outside in a nice tasteful dining area. The waitress was great, the perfect level of attentiveness. We ate from the lunch menu which is well priced. The quesadillas were great, the nachos were definitely made for two or more to share and equally delicious. I really liked this place and will definitely stop in again. Give them a try!

I used to go to Southside 815 over 20 years ago when I first moved to Alexandria. It was a favorite dinner spot to enjoy low country fare in the night air.
Today's lunch was delicious - the fried green tomatoes with the tangy sauce were a real treat. I didn't love my shrimp and grits, it was different than I remember it so many years ago.

This is my go-to restaurant when I don't feel like cooking. The food is decent. The low country with cheddar grits are great. Fried catfish is also really good. Don't get the jambalaya pasta, it has no seasoning. Service is also usually good. Sometimes the host disappears so you have to wait a while to get seated.

Nick was a great waiter. Did a great job for a large party we had. The crab dip is ok. The breakfast is really tasty.

This looks like a fun neighborhood place. Might be a bit noisy inside during peak hours but we sat outside, a good place to people watch.

I was searching for a nice place to eat while I was visiting the DMV and found this one. But I got there late and the kitchen was closed already but the vibe was good so we grabbed a drink and left

Visited Southside 815 and had a mixed experience. We ordered the buffalo wings, crab and artichoke dip, and mac and cheese. The wings were decent, but the dip had way too many artichokes—it overpowered the crab completely. The mac was average, nothing memorable.
One downside was that half the restaurant was closed off, which made finding a seat a bit of a hassle. There also seemed to be a shortage of servers so we ended up having to flag down the bartender just to get some help.
That said, the best part was the atmosphere. The live music was really enjoyable and created a fun vibe, and the fact that they stay open late is definitely a plus. I’d come back more for the ambiance than the food or service.

Bartenders especially Pedro are great and super friendly
Grabbed lunch here, enjoyed the sausage gravy with biscuits and the macaroni and cheese. Food is okay, nothing outstanding but not terrible. Friendly and fast service
