This place was okay. They were understaffed for bar crawl. Bartenders were mostly just making drinks for table orders and ignoring bar customers. Beer was full price in half size plastic glass.

Not surprisingly, the whiskey and oysters were Supreme. The briny options were not too salty and paired perfectly with the grits side and "best old fashioned". It was a memorable meal. Service was exceptional as well. The background music was cool, just a little loud.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. Not busy, but the bar area was pretty full. We had the oysters Rockefeller, grilled oysters with Thai chili sauce butter, a dozen raw oysters, duck spring roll, and hush puppies. Would highly recommend the oysters Rockefeller, very tasty. The thai chili sauce overpowered the flavors of the oysters. Would probably choose a lighter sauce next time. Their oyster selection was excellent and would definitely come here for an oyster special day. The duck spring roll was just ok, and it is one average sized roll cut into 4 pieces. The hush puppies were meh. The bourbon is way overpriced and selection was just ok. A serving of Buffalo trace was roughly 30 bucks. You can buy a bottle of Buffalo trace for roughly the same, even online.Service was excellent. The bartenders were attentive and parking was relatively easy to find. Would likely come back for their dollar oyster days.

Tim one of the manager's is one of the RUDIEST person I have ever come across. His customer service was disappointed and despicable to say the least. After having a reservation and spending over $200, and an hour and half eating lunch, Tim decided to come to our table to let us know the restaurant had upcoming reservations...it was never packed, no one waiting to be seated, and several empty tables. Went here because Hanks was closed. That was a mistake. Hostess was rude. Waitress provided good service, food was not up to par with other area restaurants.

Came here on a Saturday at 2pm with an hour left for brunch. Atmosphere is nice and the wait staff is attentive and informative. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller which was really good. The oysters are fresh so there is still the salt water(?) in there underneath the melted hollandaise, spinach and bacon. The calamari are good but the batter is greasy, which isn’t a problem until you eat a lot of them. Definitely still worth it. The classic lobster roll has a good amount of lobster on it. The sidewinder fries are thick and you get a good portion as well. The only disappointing thing was the burger. The bun was thick, the veggies fresh, but the patty was burnt and very small in comparison to everything else. We got the blueberry/lavender/sage(?) mimosa which comes with 2 fresh blueberries and the cranberry mimosa which has two fresh cranberries. The cranberry one was tart but delicious. The “Virginia is for lovers”’flight is STRONG. All and all would definitely come back here again. There is parking right in front of the restaurant but if you can’t get it there is garage parking around the cornerParking: There is paid parking along the front of the building that is shared with other businesses. For 2 hours (the max) it was only $3.95. If you’re facing the restaurant, to the left around the corner is paid garage parking for I think $8

We go every month for dollar oyster night. This month we had a server who was just absent most of the time. The drinks took a long time to come out, and it took a long time to get and pay for our check. We hope to have a better experience next time.

We love whiskey & oyster! The food is always great and the service is quick without being impersonal. The waitstaff are friendly and work well with each other. Always a nice place to eat and relax!

We had a reservation for 8pm, we arrived ten minutes before. Took a while to get seated and to get service. Server seemed to be in a hurry for us to finish our meal. When I asked for dessert, I was told the kitchen had closed 30 minutes ago, at 8:30pm. Would have been nice to know when the last call for food was so I could have ordered my dessert then. Then I was asked if I wanted my alcoholic drink to go. I've never felt so rushed in a restaurant before. We would have eaten faster if the service had been more attentive. Don't take reservations at 8pm if you'll stop providing proper service at 8:30pm (or even earlier). I'm a regular customer and I was looking forward to dessert. Very disappointing.
The food was delicious the ambience was nice. We had the oysters Rockefeller (delicious) and the fried calamari (delicious)for appetizers. The classic lobster roll and the cheeseburger for entrees. The patty on the burger was super small and kind of burnt. The lobster was fresh, tasty and they give you a good portion. Also the oysters were decent sized too. We had a whiskey flight , blueberry mimosa, cranberry mimosas and Uncle Nearest whiskey. Would definitely come back and try more of their menu items
Always a wonderful time doing Galentine’s Day at Whiskey & Oyster. Will definitely be back again next year with my girls. Very nice Galentine’s setup. They also have a Photo Booth and you get a goodie bag for the event. Super cute!Food is the usual American dish. They have Galentine’s brunch menu and the regular menu. There is plenty of parking by the street and it’s free on weekends.I think our only complaint was the service of our server. We had to ask several times for our drinks. I asked for water and it never came. Maybe it’s just our server wasn’t trained? ?

I came here for Restaurant Week and didn't eat the special. Instead, I had the happy hour fish and chips and the Seafood Alexander. The happy hour fish and chips was very good and a ton of food for a good price. The pasta was also really good and I was happy that I tried both. I definitely had food to take home. My waitress, I cannot remember her name but she was a amazing. For her to be working multiple sections she did a great job at being attentive. For a drink I had the Black Manhattan and it was very good. Will definitely visit again, I can see why happy hour is busy. There is also outdoor seating. Cute area for date night.

This place was fantastic. The whiskey is over priced, but such is most places these days. The she crab soup was incredible. The lobster roll was very good. And the fried calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had. They seemed to be a bit understaffed but the wait wasn’t too bad. I will definitely be back!

We went for Galentines Day and the event was very nice and appeared to be well organized. The little gift bags were a sweet touch. Food was good but service was lacked a little. We were not given a glass for the mimosa bar and then were given several glasses we did not order. Service was just lacking but all in all nice event. I would recommend this place and will visit again.

Me and my wife have been going here frequently since 2021 and have always had great service and experience. Unfortunately, that is not the case anymore. We recently visited and we noticed that they are cutting down on food portions while charging the same price.I ordered a burger and there was barely any meat inside, it was mostly bread. Unfortunately I did not take a picture. We respectfully asked the waiter if they could redo it because it's a really small portion. They did and the second serving size was slightly better but not like it used to be. Eventually the manager came to speak with us and explain why the portion is so small. He kept mentioning it's because the meat shrinks when you cook. We know it shrinks, but before they used to give a much bigger portion. We eventually found an older picture from a year ago when we visited showing the much bigger portion size of the burger. We showed it to the manager and had nothing to say because he kept repeating himself about the meat shrinking. They did not acknowledge that they are cutting down on food portions while charging the same price. It is really unfortunate seeing this happening to such a nice restaurant known for its quality. We are so disappointed that it's highly unlikely for us to return.
